Just 10 of the MANY wins that we received this week alone.
Thank you ATGfam for giving us a chance. Your wins are our fuel. As long as you need our help we will never stop.

on ATG Squats and why basketball players need to do them! One of the chief reasons is simply that basketball players spend SO much time in a partial, top range of motion squat on the court. Full-depth ATG Squat helps to balance out the stimulus.

Oh man! Totally understand. No worries! I’d like you to watch this video and it gives you some other alternatives so you can still train that area even without having that set up:
I hope that helps! Let me know how it goes🙏

Ben is just demonstrating the regressed version of the movement! For starters you can use assistance when doing the squats to doing them with no assistance to doing them weighted. That would be the order! You can check out the link in my bio for more information on our services🙏
The Couch Stretch (This one is a gem 💎)
If you work at a desk all day your legs are bent for up to 8 hours a day.
This causes your hip flexors to shorten by limiting their range of motion.
Which can create pain in the low back and hips.
The couch stretch counteracts this by…
If you “avoid” the knees by shoving them back as you squat up, it will make this aspect null and void. But if you push down through the knees and use your legs to squat yourself up, you will effectively use more quad and therefore build more strength and density in your quads.
Look what just arrived in the mail today 👀
Tomorrow morning, I aim to find out if all the smoke about how well they DUNK is true…

And MORE! The Backward Treadmill from doubles down as a great tool to promote hamstring/glute bloodlow & healing with forward walking in an RDL position⬇️
It may not be super noticeable at first, but if you look at a side by side view with angles, the heel-elevated squat is clearly a tighter angle which means that you are getting more ROM around the knee joint 🦵

Formula that got me out of 3 years of chronic back pain:

Train the low back DIRECTLY with the 45 degree back extension.

Everyone can do ATG Split Squats. This exercise is completely scalable. The Mobility Box from ATG Equipment is a first of its kind and makes progressing the ATG Split Squat SO simple:

Oh man! We’d love to help you handle that issue for good. Knee noise isn’t an indicator of bad knees as long as there’s no pain! Check out this video:
Walking backwards and tib raises are a great place for you to start improving your knee ability!🙏
Success leaves clues 🕵️
Yet I still see most people squatting half way down and experiencing injury after injury even in their 30s.
This guy was jumping in his 80!?
We really think the Backward Treadmill will help thousands of people get and stay in shape. It is so simple, yet so effective. Money in the bank for your knees, feet, and overall health!

Totally understand where you are coming from because I was taught the same thing growing up! It’s actually the opposite. I’d like you to study this and it explains the truth behind knees over toes exercises:
Then almost 3 years ago, at age 26, I randomly stumbled upon

On a whim, I signed up for ATG for coaches.
THIS CHANGED MY LIFE.

I’d like you to check out this video and it shows Ben’s 68 year old mother doing the movements Ben does in his system
All movements scale to the individuals level so anyone can benefit from the training! That’s the beauty of it. Link in bio for more info
It COULD be cheating if you do not push down through your knees. If you push your knees forward/use your quads, you actually will only help INCREASE your ankle mobility due to the extra weight on your ankles pulling you deeper into a stretch.
5 reasons EVERYONE should walk backward daily!
Walking backward is also referred to “Reverse Out Knee Pain” (ROKP) and this simple movement has a ton of benefits, especially when you do it with a bit of resistance like you see me doing here on the ATG backward treadmill.…

Long story short — ATG trains the posterior chain JUST as much as the quads and knees. The body loves balance and we seek to restore balance between both the posterior and anterior sides of the human body ✅🫡
Your body is in a continual state of adaptation.
Supply it with the right stimulus, and you can achieve remarkable results over time.

Great question! I think that’s pretty common.
There could be several factors.
ATG Split Squats are UNDERRATED for low back.
Split Squats + Seated Goodmornings = improved deep squat ability.
I recommend the Back Ability program on the ATG app:

We’d love to help you in your recovery once you can train. We can’t legally advise when it is safe to start training so you would have to get cleared by a medical doctor first! Ben recommends anybody finish the post op rehab before starting. Walking backwards can help!🙏
These days, I rarely use wall tibialis raises—they are a great place to start but not ideal for strictly measuring progress over time.
My favorite way to train my tibs now is with the new American made ATG tib bar 2.0, pictured here. This is the highest quality, most…

Oh man! Sorry to hear that. We’d love to help you strengthen that area so you can be more bulletproof! Tibialis raises are great for strengthening that and if you can’t do it against the wall standing, you can sit down and flex your foot up and down and it works it the same🙏
@memspo1
@kneesovertoesg
Always full extension! That’s how this movement is done in the program. All the way up all the way down with full range of motion starting with the lowest regression that is needed so you can do them pain free and gradually working from there!🙏
Very important concept to understand. ATG did not invent "Stretch-Strengthening". This is just common-sense, human-exercise, truth. BUT, ATG has popularized this training philosophy more than any other organization to date.
The ATG Split Squat is my FAVORITE compound exercise for mobility and longevity.
At age 46, it’s been a powerful tool for me for healthier feet, ankles, knees, hips, groin, and lower back.

We had a core philosophy at San Jose Barbell:
The strongest lift you can do is to lift others up.
I’ve always had a strong aversion to people tearing others down, especially as a form of content.

If you want better hip mobility and less lower back pain, try these two exercises in your workout routine:
1. ATG Split Squat
2. Abs to Bench Seated Good Morning
Today was a great day. Spent most of it with my wife and kids.
But I also played basketball this morning with my friends with ZERO pain.
Did some jumps in between games and felt bouncy!
Because of the consistent work I’ve put in training ATG, I’m able to enjoy jumping once…

Yes! Keep it up. That’s amazing that you feel better! That’s what we want when doing these movements. They may be unorthodox but they work and we care about results above all else!🔥🙏
In this post, I want to discuss shoulders.
