Stamp duty still blows my mind. It's as if the government is like, "Well done for working your ass off, paying so much tax and yet still somehow managing to save up for a deposit despite the astronomical house prices. Now, we'd like to tax you on those savings".

I'm not necessarily a fan of her politics, but I have to get behind Theresa May and commend her for her strength and resilience. I can't help but feel she's been used as a scapegoat for Brexit; it was David Cameron's mess.

Can't help but feel refusing to listen to our workers is part of the Tory plan to turn workers against other workers by blaming strikes... Rather than at their own failure.

Hard agree on this. Whatever you think of the royal family, it's amazing they don't pay any tax - but that we will pay for the coronation at a time when there is a cost of living crisis and we're told we have no money. V v "let them eat cake" vibes.

King Charles inherited 45,667 acres of land across England & Wales, worth around £650ml, generating income of £24ml pa. He didn’t pay a single penny in inheritance tax & will only pay income tax if he volunteers. On the 6th May you will pay to put a crown on his head. Wrong.

I begged for pain relief for 18 hours in childbirth - it never came and it was written on my birth notes that I was "coping fine". So this makes my blood boil. When will the system take women's pain seriously and invest in maternity care. It's Barbaric!
