Congratulations to the Junior and Intermediate Track and Field Teams who have both won the North West Regional Final of the English Schools Athletics Cup.
Both teams have now qualified to compete at the National Final in Oxford.

Congratulations to our former pupil Joe Hardy who recently signed for Liverpool. Joe was a pupil at the College in Key Stage 3 before moving to the Manchester City Academy. Joe is in line to make his first team debut tonight in the FA Cup 4th Round Replay against Shrewsbury Town.
Jack P, George H and Chim O all represented Cheshire Under 18s in their 31-22 victory over Northumbria at Keighley, on Sunday. Jack P scored and it was a proud day for the College taking the county number to five in the under 18s this season.
The College Remembrance Service commemorated the 12 Anselmians who were killed on active service in World War II and the Korean War, as well as Br. Senan Kerrigan, former Headmaster of the College, who was martyred during the Civil War in Sierra Leone in 1995.

As part of our on-going commitment to student Mental Health, St Anselm's College was today recognised as a Suicide Safer School by the Martin Gallier Project.
👏 Our Staff held a coffee morning today and raised over £200 for the Anaphylaxis Campaign, in memory of Chris Smith, one of our former students. A huge thank you to all who baked/bought cakes and raffle prizes.

Former student, Joe Wigfield, has been selected to represent Team GB and Northern Ireland for the 2023 World Athletics Cross Country Championships, in Australia, this month. The championships represent the pinnacle of cross country competition.

Congratulations to Taylor in Year 9 who is a member of the Everton FC Academy. Taylor toured Switzerland with the Toffees in November and is playing for the Academy Under 15s against Sheffield Wednesday this week.

We then had an afternoon at the Allianz Arena, which the boys thoroughly enjoyed. Finished the day with dinner at the Hard Rock Café followed with watching the surfers and a game of football im Englischen Garten.
🎓 Year 11 students are celebrating their GCSE results following some outstanding individual success. 43% of all entries being awarded the top grades. Attainment 8 score of 63 was the best since this national measure was introduced in 2016.

Congratulations to our Yr.11 students who have just completed a 6 week mental health & wellbeing programme with ‘Action for Children’. This gives young people the tools to look after their emotional wellbeing and supports them in developing their emotional resilience.
