4'10" pirate lass and crocodile lover. Artist and DK focused streamer. I used to be more online, but it wasn't terminal. Engaged to my BFF; look at our comic ⬇️
Heading out? Come visit the people below on our website! It's the most important place to me online, forever and always. We update most Mondays!
And here's an ever-evolving collection of other places to find my art!
Here's a quote tweet for you. Friends, you might see a lot of artists complaining about this today, but might not know why. I'm going to explain why this is such a bad thing, and why - if there's any way around this - you shouldn't QRT art no matter if twitter "prompts" you.
We’ll temporarily ask people to add their own commentary before amplifying content by prompting Quote Tweets instead of Retweets. We hope this encourages everyone to consider why they are amplifying a Tweet, and brings more thoughts, reactions & perspectives to the conversation.
I like that Banjo plays the banjo, an instrument which requires skill and he probably practices a lot in his quiet moments, and Kazooie plays the kazoo, an "instrument" that you just hum into because she has no patience and she doesn't give a shit
Cortez's bilingualness was written to be a lot deeper now. I had to refresh myself but in the original he pretty much just throws out some random "amigo"s and a couple other things. (Thread-)
Ok, is Booster's design inspired by or supposed to invoke Fuzzies? He really has no association with them so it feels like a stretch, but like... It also feels like something is there, lol
I let my little brother who could barely read, but knew how Pokemon worked, play my first Pokemon game: Yellow version. He said "I caught you a Rattata." Much later, after saving, I realized he had been able to read "ball" and used one. My master ball.

! Pokémon Red Version & Pokémon Blue Version launched in Japan today, way back in 1996! To celebrate, we’re asking everyone to share your favorite moment from the Pokémon video game series. Let us know by using
#PokemonDay
& we may RT you!
You know how it is. When you make a QRT, it becomes its own post. The original poster gets notified of the quote itself happening but they aren't going to be notified of any comments or likes that the new quote gets. They'd have to go out of their way to repeatedly check.
In other words, an artist begins to lose engagement, both in the algorithmic social media sense and the very human sense, with how people are responding to their work. The quoter's name and pfp are now front and center. THEIR post is technically the one getting the attention.
Super Mario World was my first video game. I would like to share how I saw some of the enemies as a toddler, based on the sprites.
Also, I called Swoops "pickle bats".
To be honest, it's just considered pretty rude! But not everyone may know that. If you QRT some art and say "Nice, I love this!" or whatever, you may think you're helping, but it's really not. Just retweet your favorite artists! Let the words THEY posted speak for the art.
This isn't as big a deal if it's just normal twitter chatter, memes, whatever. But artists need all the help they can get to grow, especially if they support themselves via their art. (Hi!) Don't take it away from them to bring attention to yourself.
I think I'm gonna call this finished!
This is a gift for my partner who loves SM64 and is the fourth level portrait I've made so far! This one will go near the bottom of the stairs to the basement.
If you want to add a further personal comment that you may be too shy to share with the artist, use "LRT" (last retweet) in a new tweet of your own after you've retweeted! Something like "LRT: THIS SHIP MELTS MY HEART".
And if you're not too shy, hey, the algorithm still likes posts with lots of comments as far as we can tell. And artists love them too! So if you have something nice to say, reply :)
🏴☠️ CROCODILE CACOPHONY 🏴☠️
My long-overdue first attempt at doing a full fake-screenshot style Cuphead scene!
Bigger version here:
I'd love to do more of these, if people like this one :)
I'm getting replies saying this is only going to apply to disputed political content as the thread says, and maybe so, but 1) I don't trust twit to roll out a system like this smoothly with no bugs and accurate detection, & 2) this is just general info that applies at all times!
A Rare Feeling.
I've been wanting to draw this for a month, but various obligations got in the way. Still, "better late than never" applies just as much to the picture as to what it represents.
I find myself thankful, just as I was almost a year ago. It was worth waiting for.
[Paper Mario: The Origami King]
The four vellumentals!
Since their origami form is implied to be unnatural, I asked myself what they would look like as flat paper beings, in the classic Paper Mario artstyle!
Thanks to my patrons for making this possible!!
Ok, since the Rogueport Direct Mail no longer gives characters' ages in the remake, it is my very important duty to break it to you gently that Flavio is only 25, in case you didn't know that.
Conveying that a character is speaking their non-native language can be tricky and I've seen debates on what comes off more or less forced/stereotypical. I think they did it pretty well here though. He mostly substitutes words that are very close to their English equivalent-
Kremlings invented swords but Donkey Kong worked hard to prevent this knowledge of violent weaponry form ever reaching the Mushroom Kingdom. This is why Smithy had to chain him up during his weapon-based takeover.
Dracula is a legit funny book in parts, I'll never forget that Jonathan was using a little mirror to shave, noticed he couldn't see Dracula in it so Dracula just grabbed it and threw it out the window. And Jonathan was basically like "well that was weird but ok it's his house"
Tumblr has discovered a subscription service called Dracula Daily that emails you the events of Bram Stoker’s novel as they occured in real time. Since the story begins on May 3rd it started up again and some of the memes from the first few days are fucking HYSTERICAL
Look, I know someone who went to Keelhaul Key. They wouldn't ever talk about it afterwards. They just drew this and left it at that. You should leave well enough alone too...
