Derby - Possible points deduction and relegation Wycombe - promoted from 8th in L1 due to controversial PPG Sheff Wednesday - 12 point deduction, then reduced to 6. The EFL is not fit and proper. But let’s not punish the fans of the big six or stop obviously insecure takeovers.

We lost but Preston may well be my favourite away day. Reasonably priced, great away end, respectful stewards/police and they aren’t particularly loud at home but Preston are a proper football club. Certainly don’t feel annoyed about travelling just to see a loss for once.

Everything about Preston today was a credit to the town to be fair. Police not treating Boro fans like animals, good allocation, nice stadium, actually offered away pubs unlike Barnsley for example. Today would’ve been a very good away day if the team had turned up as well.

I think it’s finally time to admit that Middlesbrough FC, from top to bottom, is a genuinely well-run club again. We’ve always had a class owner but now a proper sporting director, medical team evidently doing good things due to lack of injuries, proper manager, scouts etc.

At school we visited a local Synagogue, one of the most important Hindu Mandirs in Europe, a Gurdwara and a Mosque, as part of RE enrichment. Most of what I know about religion came from these trips. We also had church weekly. I came out of it all areligious. You’re just racist.
