You might be hyposmic and have REM sleep disorder, a mildly abnormal DAT scan and a positive synuclein skin biopsy but you aint got Parkinson’s disease.

It is okay as long as it does not make its way to the clinics and the mainstream media. All my PD patients will ask for a DaTscan, just in case.

Perhaps it is necessary to remember more often the definitions of sensitivity and specificity of a diagnostic test, before talking about early diagnosis.

True. They have a v high chance of having PD-related pathology on board, but its not Parkinson's disease.
The question is, what healthcare services can do to support/advise/monitor/treat/inform/engage such a person?
