As a lawyer, this is about the wrong period to get into trouble with any judge. Imagine My Lord tongue lashing you in the presence of law school externs; scribbling on their logbooks, admist a chorus of "as the Court pleases" from fellow lawyers, to complete your humiliation.

For the purpose of retention, this firm made outgoing youth corpers reapply to work in the firm and take a written test. All the corpers "failed" the test. Eventually, it did not retain anybody. 😭😭

Don't graduate with a low CGPA, if your wish is a seamless, beateous, rewarding life as a lawyer, working in a top tier law firm or organization, or even venturing into the academia. If you won't listen, be prepared to hustle like a lunatic. The bottom is so dense.

Arbitration has not come to stay in Nigeria. It does not foster access to justice for all since it is expensive. Not everyone can afford it. In the Nigerian context, it does not ensure swift dispensation of justice because arbitral awards are always challenged in regular courts.

I have never heard anyone or an ex employee who had a bad or nasty thing to say about Babalakin & Co. The comradeship as regards the firm is evident. I think there's even a mantra which goes thus; "once an employee, always an employee..." But you see some other firms ehn.. Smh 🌚
