Despite having near zero carpentry skills I cobbled together a right field line inspired bar for my basement primarily using old pallets as my COVID project. I used 335’ down the line in honor of Rosenblatt Stadium.
Look at these teams that got left out:
Dixie State 35-19
North Georgia 33-20
Western Oregon 30-13
Columbus State 31-20
Texas A&M Kingsville 30-20
Wingate 33-20
USC Aiken 32-22
Southern Indiana 30-21
Malone 33-18
Shepherd 36-16
Each would be no worse than a three seed in the east
Fans were permitted to attend the

If it were up to me (and frankly it should be) here are the eleven additional schools which I would invite to the NAIA national postseason along with an explanation why:
Since 2009 I’ve covered small school baseball and provided rankings and reporting for the game at the DII, NAIA and DIII levels. Unfortunately I think the coverage has come to a close. There is a lot of work involved in providing coverage and I don’t have the time and energy to

The NCAA DII baseball tournament started today and I’ve gotta admit never been as lethargic as this year about the results. So many quality teams, players and coaches were left home by the ridiculous regional selection process that’s it’s really taken the gas out of me.
To have eight teams in the NCAA DII east region and only six in both the southeast and south central is such an absolute injustice. Brutal to see teams like North Georgia, Columbus State and Dixie State not get to play because of bad format. Absolutely crushing.
Updated
@PGCollegeBall
DII/NAIA/DIII rankings now up at , featuring unexpected exponential rise of
@Jessup_BASE
in to the NAIA Top 25 thanks in part to breakout closer closer Tyler Fujimoto.
The DII baseball regionals are based on conferences. Twelve of the top 13 teams in RPI are in the South or Southeast, meaning only two - at most - of these schools will advance to the final eight.
My son’s first little league at bat! I’m proud to say he got a single/out/home run. Coaches please do not inundate my inbox with scholarship offers at this time. We will start to review our options after the weekend.
The absence of
@saintleobase
is 100% grade A baloney. Lions are 36-10 while playing in the Sunshine State w/ strong non conference schedule. Take away games vs Tampa and NSU and they are 36-4. Of those four, two were in mid Feb, one in extra innings and other to Florida Southern.
Its safe to say there won't be a new number one in the next DII rankings.
@RamsASUbaseball
has two mercy run wins this weekend over a very good Wayland Baptist club. Today's finsher was a walk-off grand slam.
Great news! I have fixed the D-II baseball region problems. Anoint me the omnipotent yet benevolent commissioner and I will create a 64 team, 16 regional bracket. This is what this season's would look like:
To the dudes coming back for the extra bonus year of playing ball - don’t you waste that year academically and professionally. Complete your degree, start a masters program, do an internship. Your baseball career got a year back but life is moving on.
Missouri Baptist has a player named General McArthur. Like not as a nickname, but his straight up name. He's good too, batting .413 so far. I'm guessing he was not recruited by
@TrumanBaseball
based on my history lessons.
Guy sitting behind me at CWS last night wasn’t baseball savvy; didn’t know what a K or F-9 meant on scoreboard, but that’s 100% ok. HOWEVER, he also stated Keanu Reeves was in a movie called “Ted and Bill’s Amazing Adventure” and that is unacceptable.
I'm really going to miss
@kylekelsh5
of
@taylorbaseball
this season. Dude stole 59 bases over the past three seasons while getting only 1 AB per year. One of my favorite one tool players of all time.
In a non College World Series note I just want to say that the
@Exp_League
, a summer collegiate wood league, has teams with awesome team names and logos. I need to get out of city and see the
@FremontMoo
since they're only about an hour away.
The latest
@PGCollegeBall
DII rankings have been posted. See the complete list at: . The North Grenville Crusaders have been ranked in top two entire season thanks to a perfect balance of holdovers, transfers and recruits.
Congratulations to
@Josh_Elvir95
of
@RamsASUbaseball
. He is on USA Baseball's 55-player preseason Golden Spikes Award watch list. It is the beginning the process of identifying the top amateur baseball player in the country. Josh is the only DII player on the list.
I want to give a shout-out to the 99.9% of you for the overwhelming positive feedback for the NAIA/DII preseason rankings which were released this week and over the years. It’s your enthusiasm and appreciation which fuels the effort. It couldn’t be done without your support.
With our country as divided as it is these days, it’s nice to know that no matter what your political beliefs are, we can all agree that Kevin Cash really screwed the pooch.
From the
@PGCollegeBall
final DII, NAIA, DIII rankings:
DII Most Valuable Player – Will Dixon,
@CMUMavsBaseball
In 28 relief appearances he earned a nation-leading 16 SVs and held opposition to a 0.66 ERA. Threw a SHO to advance Mavs to title game.
The last two seasons Kelsheimer has played in 84 games, but only has two at-bats. His sole role is to be a pinch runner and steal bases, an assignment he has done successfully 42 times while only being caught three times.
Here is the pitch that would have put
@AbbeyBaseball
into the DII Championship Series. If this was called a ball Crusaders would have been walk off winners. Instead
@CSUCougarsBSB
won the game and forced a winner-take-all finale.
8. EMPORIA STATE HORNETS -
@ESUBaseball
returns 5 position starters and added oomph in xfer
@brycefischer3
from OK St. Top two starting pitchers are back on mound in
@Seth_Holman16
and
@tcairns13
. They’ll reacquaint with five of the top six arms out of the last year’s bullpen.
1. NORTH GREENVILLE CRUSADERS
@NGUBaseball
Before
@LandonPowell10
was hired the Crusaders sputtered to an abysmal 8-35 record and finishing last in their conference. Since then, the team has won nearly 3/4 of games and advanced to the NCAA postseason the past five full seasons.
I don't feel like we as a society as talking about
@taylorbaseball
's
@kylekelsh5
enough. He is a baseball presence not seen since the days of Herb Washington who was the Oakland A’s "designated runner" in the 1970‘s.
6. MERCYHURST LAKERS -
@HurstBaseball
lost little in offseason and will tangle with WCU for conference and national crowns. Hurst has 4 SPs back who collectively K’d 252 in 198 IP w/ sub 3.00 ERAs capped by
@Valli_Swag7
&
@Russwith2Ls
. Drew Delsignore is top returning hitter.
