"And besides, even last year before I went to Tennessee, I had interest from Jacksonville and, you know, I made the wrong decision."
Trevis Gipson Is With the Jaguars to Make the Right Decision

Trevor Lawrence says his wife Marissa made a reservation at Waffle House for the team -- a Waffle House first, lol
He promised Brandon Scherff and E.J. Perry that they'd go to WH after a game because neither had ever been
Jacksonville’s kicker today, Jon Brown, never has attempted a field goal in a game. Ever.
A former soccer player, Brown was a kickoff specialist who spent time with the Bengals but has not attempted an in-game FG.
Brown is the fifth kicker the Jaguars have used this season.
Trevor Lawrence says Doug Pederson actually had a different play called on 4th-and-1, but Pederson didn't like the look, called timeout, and called the game-winning run instead.
This is why James Robinson is the
#Jaguars
starting RB. Points out the blitz to Lawrence pre-snap then picks it up perfectly to give him time to convert the first third-down of the game.
Trevor Lawrence is asked what a successful season for a No. 1 pick (Bryce Young) looks like.
He laughs and says, "Maybe asking the wrong guy. ... hopefully it goes a little better for him." 🤣
The Jaguars fighting back under Doug Pederson every week is astounding.
Trevor Lawrence bouncing back from two bad turnovers to put the offense on his back was a legacy moment.
No matter what happens over next 3 weeks, Jaguars got the HC and QB.
One of my favorite nights on this job, ever.
Electric atmosphere. Unforgettable game. Moments and conversations post-game I'll hold onto for the rest of my career.
Goodnight and congrats, Jacksonville.
27-0.
4 interceptions.
Didn't matter.
Jaguars just made one of the most improbable playoff comebacks in NFL history. Trevor Lawrence let his coconuts swing.
"There is never a meaningless game. Never, ever, ever." -- Doug Pederson.
Says he will only ever rest players if they are injured. So Jaguars not resting guys for Week 18.
My take: the Texans vs. the Jaguars is about to be one of the NFL's best rivalries and annual matchups for a decade. What a damn game from both teams, both franchise QBs.
New York Giants fans obsessed about every drop Evan Engram had in Jaguars training camp. All he's done since then is make clutch plays and look like the toughest ass-kicker they have in the skill room
That throw to Shenault with a second left from Lawrence can not be forgotten. That was impeccable execution from a rookie QB. Good lord.
Jacksonville, you have a quarterback.
My take: Jaguars never improved once from their divisional loss to the Chiefs. They lost that game because of tackling, drops, and turnovers from the QB and his supporting cast.
They said all offseason that game couldn't be repeated. But it was over and over (and over) again.
Through 5 years, Josh Allen has:
- Made 2 Pro Bowls
- Set the Jaguars rookie sack record
- Set the Jaguars single-season sack record
- Is 11.5 sacks away from franchise's all-time sack record.
I think you can make the argument that he is their best 1st round pick since Taylor.
Jaguars had just about everything possible go wrong at some point today and still scored 31 and beat a divisional rival on the road by 10. After letting it digest, feels more like a Week 1 rust than anything else
It says everything that this search has boiled down to who could fit with Trent Baalke the best and not who could fit with Trevor Lawrence the best. Just a big oof.
Source tells me that Byron Leftwich is the
#jaguars
pick but the hold up is over who will have control of the roster. Leftwich wants Trent Baalke out and the
#Jaguars
to hire Adrian Wilson who is the Vice President of pro scouting with Cardinals.
"We've studied Buffalo. ... Buffalo is in my mind one of the best builds in recent history." -- Urban Meyer on the Bills and the rebuilding blueprint they've laid out.
Urban Meyer made the No. 1 overall pick share first team reps with someone they traded for a sixth round pick not even a week after the battle ended. I'll never understand why that went on so long, even less so now
Calvin Ridley is one of the most talented players I've ever seen suit up for the Jaguars since I started covering them and he still hasn't played a regular season snap
Calvin Ridley on his 32-yard catch on 3rd-and-6 in the fourth quarter:
"Yeah, they went zero. They put a safety on me, and honestly, I think we were running, I think, but Trevor checked it. He saw the safety on me, gave me a good check, and we made a big play."
Please send good thoughts to the Shipley's and Sadie today. The world's best dog is undergoing major surgery to attempt to remove a mass and it would mean a lot to have some good vibes for her 😔🥺❤️
Trevor Lawrence said he feels like his competitive spirit has come out a bit more this year. Says waving goodbye to the Titans fans on Sunday was a first for him, lol
Once MNF is over, the Jaguars will sit alone in first place of the AFC South and as the *only* team in the south to win a game in the first two weeks.
React accordingly.
Why optics matter.
If the Jaguars hired Doug Pederson 3 weeks ago, people likely applaud them and fans are going collectively nuts. Instead, though, the process was a roller coaster from hell and now the feeling is likely more relief than anything.
I came away really impressed by Doug Pederson. His energy level seemed genuine and contagious. I think the year off was really good for him and think he's going to be really good for Trevor Lawrence.
#Jaguars
only really have themselves to blame for how the Ridley deal played out. The WR franchise tag cost is lower than Ridley's AAV. All of this goes back to Josh Allen, like most have been saying for months, if not a year +. That's my biggest thought
Trevor Lawrence says he's equal parts "crushed and proud" but it's hard to feel the second part right now.
Says they will be back.
"This is more the beginning of something than the end of something."

DL Roy Robertson-Harris is the first defender to ever record 4 TFLs, 2 PBUs and a sack in a playoff game.
7th player to ever do it.
RRH was all over the field for the Jaguars.
