On a troubling day, wanted to share some positive news. ... My teenage daughter who was critically injured in ski accident year and a half ago. ...just ran 1.5-miles in physical therapy session. A high mark. She has amazing mental strength and matches it in her rehab! #LoveMySyd

So. ... tomorrow, I have cancer surgery with daily chemo and radiation to follow in the coming weeks. I am heartbroken but resolute. I will do my best to stay hopeful and courageous fighting this again - and plan to work as I can. Prayers and good vibes appreciated. Peace! ✌️💪

Woke up so emotional - 1 year ago today my 16 y/o daughter was almost killed skiing in Utah. Hit a tree head-on. Going fast! My son (skiing w her) comforted her & helped ski patrol to her. Sydney continues her massive recovery! I’m so Incredibly grateful! I love them w all my ❤️

In the midst of taking care of my daughter who was so badly hurt in skiing accident 3 wks ago I have big cancer doc appt. ..instead of using elevator I trekked up the stairs to my doc. Amazing how something so insignificant (as handling stairs) feels like a triumph today.

It’s amazing that every single time I go to my oncologist for blood work, checkups, port flush, whatever - even just pull into parking lot at my cancer center - I get the same feeling of being afraid. So many brave and strong patients here - and so many that care. #perspective

Guess I am old-fashioned. On rental car shuttle, 10 seats - 8 had men sitting; 6 of those were young men (20-30ish). Not a single one offered his seat to me. I didn’t mind standing whole time, but I know I raised my son differently! #justanobservation

So my daughter just left to take her last AP exam of her high school career. She was so happy and as I watched her drive off ... I started crying. So proud of her... but this graduation tough on her mom!💜💜💜 👍

Off to get my port flushed today at cancer center... this stuff so incredibly helpful 🙏🙏🙏🙏for the pain. I’ve gotten tough and the nurses are gentle but it still hurts every single time. Every single time!
