There was a lot of fantastic cosplay at MTG Philly this past weekend. But the most divisive reactions I saw and heard were in response to Scott’s Magic30 booster box. Cosplay as protest or statement is my fav genre. Players thought it was funny, organizers told him to gtfo.

This expectation for a sound to satisfy a listener is so impressionistic that the synthesis itself must be done to picture at the moment of recording. the term “Foley artist” isn’t completely interchangeable or synonymous with “sound designer” or “sound effects editor”

@grixisghoul15 how often doss a player lose a game of commander, and before scooping, quickly check how many cards or answers they could’ve drawn had they been given the opportunity. i do it all the time, but it’s hindsight bias at its finest “if only i had one more land, or one more turn”
