This is so sad. These assets aren't my favourite thing to make, but I still enjoy the process of figuring out their little intricacies. This is such a pathetic program to witness develop.

You can still do that. It's still skills that are useful for more complex or artful things. Do people think it's sad that you're using software to make these kinds of things rather than using physical tools? Tech advances, we adapt it to make our lives better.

I understand where you're coming from but it's just kind of a gross evolution of capitalism infecting anything it can. We originally had thousands of artists working on something and now the solution is to remove them, use their foundations and make something worse.
