I love how hori took the “extremely selfless MC” archetype, and flipped it on its head to make it to a point where Deku is so selfless it affects with his physical and mental health. Usually an MC having that attribute is something to be desired, but here it’s his biggest flaw
@Pochitadoll
Mha and Tokyo revengers haven’t lost their hype, y’all are just so chronically on Twitter that you can’t realize that other people exist outside of it
Tokyo Revengers is certainly one of the manga ever made. The plot is there. The characters are in it and the dialogue is spoken. The mangaka is absolutely a mangaka and the writing is probably one the writing ever written.
@aangdaily
That’s not the point tho, the purpose of them was that they were 100% justified in doing what they did and the story acknowledges that, they were not in the wrong for wanting payback, but what it also teaches is that oppression doesn’t justify taking other innocent lives either -

you'll really hinder a relationship with someone simply because they have a past time of enjoying Japanese cartoons? if anything that's more childish than watching anime itself
If this actually works this might be the worst thing Hori has ever done in MHA. Not only does it negate proper stakes but it’s completely out of no where , feels extremely contrived, and was given to a character almost nobody cares about
@itskindred
Someone can write a story about all these without sharing the exact ideals of the subject matter they’re writing about the influence is definitely there, don’t think anyone can deny that but it’s not his personal ideology , he just likes writing tragic stories with serious themes
Hori’s really the only mangaka I know that can make a character canonically say “This really is our hero academia” and make it hit emotionally so hard in the process
Coloring the original manga is also a violation, and Japanese fans of the original manga are very saddened by this.
If you love the original manga, please express it through words or your own illustrations instead of uploading it.
@berserker144
Most people are already aware that the mangaka for made in abyss is a weirdo and would have no issue calling him one, dunno what point ur tryna make here
The way some straight people treat bakugou as a character is super weird, it's like they're afraid of him and can't admit how crucial he is to the story as a whole

That and denji is respectful about it , he wants to touch em but he doesn’t go out of his way to group a woman without their consent, mineta on the other hand doesn’t do that
MHA discourse is always about the same 4 things , why can’t we discuss fun topics like which MHA character is most likely to support the legalization of weed

He said that 1920's communist/warlord China was a herdlike nation and that it would be dreary if they took over the world and that the beggars he encountered in Sri Lanka were living in filth. The article is taken out of context of his true ideals
@DeDuppio
Afo ain’t really been going after teens until recently , his focus for most of the series was allmight,then he got arrested, slade made it his life goal to break robin like it was his hobby, slade clears fr
It’s his opinion and personal feelings at the end of the day, but for as analytical of a person Joey is when comnsuming media, he sure downplays things a lot when it comes to MHA. Even more weird considering he said himself several times that he has never watched the show🦍
@Whelololo
Shigaraki becomes a good guy, and later on becomes a teacher at UA that is now up and running as a school again, deku smiles at him and says “this truly was my hero academia”
