Deante Strickland is a PORTLAND LEGEND.
We are all better people, players and coaches because we were around Strick everyday. Rest In Peace brother, but legends never die.

Couldn’t be more excited to add another member to the Payne family! Emily and I are having a baby girl right around Christmas. Can’t wait to be a Dad!!
We welcomed our second daughter to the world last night. Everyone is happy and healthy. Couldn’t be prouder of Emily for her strength.
Cameron Makalani Nahulu Payne
What made James Johnson special was his willingness to help and care about people that couldn’t do anything for him in return. I know he did that for me. RIP friend. Summers won’t be the same with out you.
Maya Mehana joined us yesterday morning around 4:30am. Feeling blessed both baby and mom are healthy. Can’t wait to get home and introduce her to Avery and Cameron.
Awesome day for our program as we prepare for conference tourney in Alaska

Really exciting week! Had a former player get a great job, one signed a pro contract overseas, and another just got married with all former teammates as his groomsmen. Couldn’t be prouder. What it’s all about!

Back on campus. Guys did what it took to win the GNAC Tournament Championship even when shots weren’t falling last night. Can’t wait to find out who we play in the big dance!!

Proud to have spent five years at Whitworth as a player and coach this decade 2011-16. Without question one of the best basketball traditions in the country.
If you love basketball you respected Kobe Bryant. But his passion as a father to inspire and empower his daughters is what sticks with me the most. Hope I can do the same for Avery. RIP
Yesterday was tough but one thing I know is
@mackanders0n
represents everything good about college basketball and everything good about being a GRIZ. I will deeply miss coaching him everyday.
Excited to officially welcome 6’5 Wing Etan Collins from Federal Way High School to WOU.
@collins_etan
is a big time athlete, with a good skill set and serious motor.

Two weeks in a row the most impressive Zooms I’ve been on since Zoom became a thing. If you are in coaching or athletic administration you better have the kids best interest and welfare at heart. If not, GET OUT! Change is happening.
Proud to Announce the Addition of

The day is named for the monumental case, Loving v. Virginia, and the interracial couple at its center, Richard and Mildred Loving. The 1967 Supreme Court decision struck down 16 state bans on interracial marriage as unconstitutional.
Congratulations to our new leader from the office down the hall! We are super excited to have
@HoopsCoachJ
take the helm of our ship!!!
#TraditionNeverGraduates
Was inspired this morning listening to Keisha Lance Bottoms and Killer Mike speak to their city. Everyone stay safe, stick together, listen to those that are hurting the most and use your voice.
Congratulations to my guys
@WOU_MBB
on graduation today! They were the catalyst for a record breaking season and will go on to do MUCH bigger things then win basketball games. Legends.
