Each of Hydrapple's heads is unique in how they open and close their eyes.
The main head only closes them for a second.
Only one besides the main head ever opens them fully.
One is only ever half-open or closed.
One only squints.
One never opens its eyes.
I swear someone missed a design memo with Raging Bolt and Gouging Fire. Pretty much every other Scarlet paradox has yellow and red eyes except those two.
All the Palworld hype is... hard to watch.
The pal designs are blatant rip-offs of pokemon, yes- not "just the same inspiration," but directly copied design elements. This would generally be okay as a parody, but by their own word that's not what the game was intended to be.
RUMOR 📰 🚨 :
This image of Pokemon HOME has surfaced on the internet, showcasing Pokemon Scarlet working with HOME. The person who posted said that the date is May 19th, which runs in line with Khu posting the number 19.
Alright, I wondered why they would pick this odd pair for paradox pokemon, but I have realized that the reason is actually fairly obvious.
(I spent way too long on the text, but enjoy the TCG artwork.)
Made a chart of the total number of unique pokemon designs per generation.
Not included are simple color changes like Arceus, Genesect, Xerneas, and Silvally.
Also not included are any "forms" that are a simple pose change (Aegislash) or a minor detail like Spiky-eared Pichu.
Catchable Mythical in Indigo Disk, like Keldeo in Crown Tundra? My bet's on Genesect.
It's violet (and scarlet) and is a 300 million year old bug revived in the present and turned into a robot. Fits the basic theme of SV, don't you think? Just like Keldeo fit "Sword" and Shield.
Ready for a mindfuck? The book that Arven gave us, that we used to stop the time machine... the professor gave it to us before the time machine was even built. Meaning that we couldn't have used it to stop the machine, because our future self had it.
So we have...
Walking Wake- Water/Dragon
Raging Bolt- Electric/Dragon
Gouging "Fire"- Fire/Dragon
Iron Leaves- Grass/Psychic
Iron Crown- Steel/Psychic
Iron Boulder- Rock/Psychic
What if....
Terapagos- Dragon/Psychic?
So all of Scarlet's paradox have yellow eyes.
They seem to favor those red accents too.
Just a good thing to keep in mind if you're an artist designing some fake paradox.
Learned something new today. So in the spirit of learning and helping everyone identify a fake-
Switch Title IDs are in hexadecimal, which means the only possible letters are A-F. Sorry, no U's allowed.
Realized that Hisuian Zorua's paws might be dark due to it having literal frostbite.
Considering the large (confirmed) lacerations on Hisuian Zoroark, I wouldn't be surprised.
It's sad and gross to think about (so of course I have to share. 😛)
Ripped from preview footage, so fake.
Also you can make out a hint of white pixels around the Charmander icon. It's not very clean, just masked by the image quality. You don't see this with Bellibolt.
Oh ha- realized that even if these three get redeemed by Tera forms, they'd just lose them and suffer for all generations after this. Will Pokemon ever learn? 😆
I've compiled a list of pokemon that haven't been found in a Game Freak-developed main game since Gen 7 to see if there's anything interesting in terms of what could be included in Z-A.
Really didn't expect Skitty to be one of the more neglected ones.
Shout out to tgs in the code cracking discord server for noticing this - the exact line that talks about the beautiful coexistance between People and Pokemon looks identical to this line in Rose's tablet in Pokemon SwSh.
Def not a coincidence, but what does it exactly reads?
Today on "How to Spot a Fake"-
This is actually tough to explain and it's gonna look trippy. But you can tell a fake when there's a lot of mirroring. This is a tactic amateur artists use. You draw one side of an image, you like how it looks, so you just flip it horizontally.
So if the plan wasn't to make it a parody, then why are they so blatantly copying from Pokemon's designs?
For the attention. The "pokemon with guns" meme started and they decided to lean into it hard. It's not about parodying Pokemon, it's just riding on Pokemon's popularity.
Taking a look at version exclusives.
In addition to the ones announced, we know there are version exclusive "paradox" pokemon. Other than Salamence and Tyranitar, it's a weird selection of counterparts. Are we missing some that make more sense?
(Note: List may not be accurate.)
No more issues have been brought up so- Final Version!
Again, not counted were simple color changes (Arceus, Deerling, etc.), pose changes (Aegislash), or minor details like Spiky-eared Pichu and Alcremie's sweets.
If I have to update this again, may it only be for SV.
Well... she does have some pretty sus eyes there.
Note how her pupils are yellow and red like Scarlet paradox, but on a dark background like Violet paradox.
But her whole design looks like Area Zero threw up on her, so who knows.
I also suspect Palworld designed their pals using an AI art generator, considering the content of one of their other games. It would explain the many stolen pokemon design elements, if they didn't do it intentionally. So yeah, if you don't like supporting AI, I'd steer clear. 😒
The Japanese website actually gave out the accurate pronunciation of the name of the new game.
They call it "ゼットエー" which pronounces as "Zet A".
Please share and retweet this to let your friends and favorite content creators be aware of this fact.
Violet paradox all have black sclera (the normally white part of the eye) or an otherwise black background behind the iris.
I don't think this shared eye trait is as readily apparent, because Delibird, Hydreigon, and Volcarona all had it in the first place.
Can't match the background to anything in the trailers, so I'm thinking custom background on this one. There's also no texture on the Tauros- and is that a tiny blurry cursor I see?
I like the design, though.
Seems that using Scarlet and Violet's logos didn't make it as obvious as I thought. 😕
Scarlet and Violet.
Suicune and Virizion.
They start with the same letters.
@soulsilverart
@CraftyPoke
I think that might be a bit of a stretch, honestly. They draw food that look like pokemon all the time, aren't those just candy apples made to look like Applin?
Did you know that Umbreon was originally a Poison-type?
I believe its rings were originally intended as a reference to the Blue-ringed Octopus, a highly venomous species found near Japan.
(reposting for an image fix)
Note how it started off with mostly original designs. A wolf that looks like Lycanroc, but generic enough to be passable.
But by the second trailer, once the "pokemon with guns" meme had taken off, you can see the very blatant copies start to appear.
No integrity. 😔
So if anyone was still holding out hope that this Regional Cherubi was real, I went and reconstructed part of the background out of scenes from the second trailer. You'll find that they're almost an exact match. Didn't find the exact frames but close enough is close enough.
🚨Spoilery Stuff🚨
Looks like 3/4 of the mysterious symbols on the corners of the Scarlet and Violet logo frame.
I think maybe the last one represents the spiraling path down into the crater.
Just for fun, let's say Paradox Entei keeps the same trend as Walking Wake and Raging Bolt of having an "-ing" word in their English names.
Keeping note also that the Paradox name format seems to be [verb or adjective] + [noun].
Well, I'm ready for DLC already.
Decided to try coloring in the sketch of Paradox Suicune- really that's just a Legendary Beast fusion, but I'll stick with the assumption that it's mainly Suicune because it makes picking the overall palette easier.
Sorry for the ugly recolor, I just wanted to put this prediction down, but my hand wasn't in the mood to cooperate. 😩
Anyway, I'm thinking we'll be seeing elements of the ancient and future paradox in Terapagos's final form's design. Namely the red spikes/fur and sparkly gems.
I see a lot of people now saying that our leakers "lied" about BW remakes... seems like everyone's forgetting that mid-Gen games getting announced on Pokemon Day is an anomaly. The only time it's happened, it was tied to a Legends game.
Z-A isn't Unova, so give it a few months.
I guess I can reiterate that Past and Future Paradox aren't really from the past or future. Note "Imagined Pokemon."
So no, that is not a pre-Burned Tower Legendary Beast. They were never that, nor do they become that.
Just noticed that Eternamax Eternatus is supposed to be a hydra.
I think the design could have been more popular if they de-emphasized the hand element and boosted the hydra part to be more apparent. Even when you can see the heads, they just look like screamy fingers.
No, that's not the middle stage of Pawmi, the pokemon in that spot just appears large. Compare it with Sprigatito who is also supposed to be tiny.
Or just look at Koraidon there. Obviously you can't take the sizes in that sandwich screen seriously.
Realized that not everyone knows about the connection between the Hisui starters, so I made a graphic about it.
This was a theory that emerged as PLA was coming out, and I just found that it only makes more sense the more you look into it.
These are three of my favorite pokemon, so I am very excited to see them in!
My dream team- Charmander, Growlithe, Houndour, and Rockruff? No, I don't have good type coverage.
Rethinking some of my predictions... so I made a chart!
Changed my mind about Donphan. I think they might pick two different Paradox pokemon so people don't assume that they all will have past and future versions.
Taking the opportunity to correct a common misconception- these are not concept art!
They're actually fan art drawn from memory by a '97 Space World attendee.
It's pretty obvious that this Rayquaza isn't just a Rayquaza that was in Roy's ball, right?
Aside from being crystallized without showing any apparent Tera type, it just disappeared like raid pokemon do when you don't catch them, instead of going back into its ball.
@Riddler_Khu
Well, I think the PLA leak season will go down as the greatest leak season for Pokemon. This one kind of became a shitshow in under a week... really hoped we'd get to finish SV with you guys and see you retire off on a high note, so I'm sad to see it come to this. Thanks again.🙁
