Why is he not on the table in talks for a Kluber or Bauer? Indians are desperate for an outfielder. Feel like Hicks + 2 or 3 good prospects could get somewhere

You’re right....I highly doubt they resign Hicks. I do think Frazier could be a factor even in 2019. Platooning him with Gardner I think works. Not sure how much we’d get for Hicks on a rental though. May not be worth it.

How about this... Three team deal: Stanton to LAD, Verdugo and Urias to LAA, Trout to NYY. Sign Harper. Same result, one year earlier.

Yankees signing Trout should be the end game, even if it means passing on Harper right now and trading Stanton eventually.

Doesnt make sense: gardner liability at CF. Lose value of Hicks/Frazier/Florial in trade. Trout too far out to project. Trade those guys for elite SP. unfortunately Harper comes at the wrong time

There's no reason to trade Hicks to downgrade CF this year. Just use Gardy as 4th OF
