Fabulous news that our new Owl boxes are home to beautiful Barn Owls. They are carefully cared for by Chris from the RSPB who visits regularly to monitor how they are doing. The sound of the Owl hoots is glorious across the site.

Today Robin received his Principal’s Award for coming second in the Murray Edwards Franklin Society Essay Competition. Robin is studying A-level physics and hopes to go on to study physics at Cambridge University.
Our students are having a great time in the pool today, training towards their PADI open water qualification which they will do in Malta later this year!

The challenge has begun and in two weeks time the house with the smallest amount of food waste will be crowned the winners. The winning prize is a lunch time BBQ exclusively for their house in the summer term.

A team of Y10 and Y12 students competed in the Regional Bar Mock Trial competition in Norwich. The students performed incredibly well and for the third year in a row, came away as regional champions! The team now go forward to compete in the National Final. Well done to all.
On Saturday, we took a team of students from Years 10, 12 and 13 to Norwich Crown Court to compete in the Bar Mock Trial competition against other schools/colleges from Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. The students performed brilliantly and went on to win the competition.
It has been lovely to welcome our new staff to the College for their induction programme today and I am looking forward to seeing all staff return for training tomorrow. We are all excited to see our students return next week. – Mr Browning

Ben Howes in Year 8 has made this superb wood turned bowl over the past 3 weeks, coming after school to use the machine supervised by Mr Wyndham. We are so impressed with his result!

Worth the wait! A joyous evening last night for our Sixth Form Formal, Students done an incredible job of transforming the Sports Hall. An evening full of celebration, amazing food and lots of fun, many thanks to all staff and students who made it happen.
Our students were honoured to attend the Bar Mock Trial Finals at the Royal Courts of Justice in London at the weekend. The Bar Mock Trial helps students understand how the law touches every aspect of their lives, gaining an insight into how the legal justice system works.
We are delighted to introduce our new Principal’s Council. The current Year 12 students were selected in June and have already been proactive in assisting with our open events and the Royal Norfolk Show. The College is excited to be working with each one of you 🙌🏻

A tradition here at the College is for Y13 students to formally celebrate their final day, with a flair of fun. Students wore their Yr11 uniform and it was great to see so many of them having come from different schools, leaving with new, life long WymCol friendships
Excellent work from Mr Meeson’s Tutor Group - They have created their own brand ‘Ignite’ and are working with the Technology Department and school Maintenance staff to minimise waste wood. They are selling bags of kindling for £3 to raise money for Great Ormond Street.

Students were presented with a plaque yesterday in recognition of Wymondham College’s status as a ‘School of Character’. The kitemark is awarded to schools who undertake character education in an explicit, planned, conscious and reflective way.
