Contact made that we have high interest:
Top Target:
Liam McNeeley - reported this 3 days ago and I honestly think we have a shot.
Others:
Cade Tyson
Jalen Blackmon
Javon Small
Andrew Carr
Amari Williams
Aly Khalifa
Jaxson Robinson
Also was told huge surprise hire.
Top Premium Targets Liam McNeeley and Javon Small are who we are all in on, they will take around 25% of our NIL between those two.
Staffing is underway will wrap by weekend.
Every day this week I believe news will drop on staffer or recruit.
I know of 2 guys committed.
Mark Pope has my full support starting today. He is a proven winner. He loves Kentucky and knows our expectations. As a fanbase, it is our job to support him. He is one of us, so let's give him benefit of doubt.
I did wake up to a text saying he will have NIL backing. Go CATS
Kentucky needs to give Great Osobor the red carpet treatment as he starts an official tomorrow for a few days. As always that means Pope will be at airport tonight to greet him.
Chaz Lanier and Jaxson Robinson looks to be the remaining two guys for now we are targeting.
I think there is a chance to get a Will Riley reclass later in summer as well.
Another day, and I continue to believe Kentucky will find a way to stay in the news. Saunders is locked in, but also heard last night, Brooks is already hitting the ground running w/ Liam.
The name I continue to hear is Javon Small. That leads me to believe he is a top priority.
News around Kentucky is tough at this point but based on Fueger tweet it has to be Mahaney.
Osobor arrives tonight, Brea next week, and Carr is currently at Nova.
Haven't been told either way but I'd bet money it's Mahaney.
NEWS: Drexel transfer F/C Amari Williams (
@amxriwillixms
) has cut his list to three schools, his agent
@georgelangberg
of GSL Sports Group tells
@On3Sports
(in no particular order):
Kentucky
St. John's
Mississippi State
The 6-10 big man will begin his final official visit to
Got a text and all it says is hold on tightly...
Seeing others like MJ, Tucker, and saw Cody tweet, so I'll assume others are hearing it as well.
Hold on tightly means to me it'll be more then just one thing. Maybe coach and recruit. Or two recruits
NEWS: Wake Forest transfer Andrew Carr has committed to Kentucky, he told ESPN. The 6-foot-11 big man averaged 13.5 points and 6.8 rebounds shooting 37% for 3 this season. Adds size, skill and versatility to Kentucky's roster. Also testing NBA draft waters.
I believe Kenny Payne will go to Arkansas potentially in a role.
Antigua wants to stay in Kentucky but also heard Illinois.
Lucas would shock me stays at Duke.
Robinson will be at UK once Draft gives feedback.
Keep eye on Texas and Stanford assistant being in mix.
Recommendation to Kentucky fans is to enjoy the process. It's legit only been 7 days. We are in on several top transfers. Like I mentioned this morning these next few days will really show you where we stand. Trust the process. Btw there are top players not even in portal yet.
Thanks to
@abhavsar
@casey_madis
@flaboyukfan
@CB1_TheFiend
for all reaching out today.
Decided I'm going to still post just not as frequent, will just hop on other spaces from time to time.
I love Kentucky and enjoy following sports. Thanks to those who all tweeted support.
Look at current roster of 7, we will fill 4 more spots max and wait out for potential late additions.
Small, Hawkins, or Smith
Brea
Robinson
Osobor or TBD
This is my preference. Each line is target...
You get any 3 of these we are top 5 team.
Following the Knox recruitment has been interesting.
After UK visit it was lock to UK. Then seemed we cooled off and it was USF. It then flipped to Louisville as an effort by KP to save job. Back to USF, then OTE.
As of this morning just got text it's UK as we made push again.
Utah guard Deivon Smith tells
@LeagueRDY
he’s hearing from these schools since hitting the portal:
Kentucky
Villanova
Florida
Creighton
St. John’s
Miami
Wake Forest
NC State
Kansas State
Washington
Louisville
VCU
In his first season with the Utes, Smith averaged 13.3PPG,
Yesterday I mentioned predictions out there that isn't accurate.
This included visits every day. People are saying Davis to Arkansas is lock. And much more.
Pay attention to who visits. If they visit it's highly likely they are ours.
Here are my thoughts:
Wagner - NBA Draft for feedback and returns
Thiero - transfers
Bradshaw - transfers
Ugo - transfers
Big Z - returns
Edwards - draft
Dillingham- draft
Hart - transfers
Burks- transfers
Portal - 3 guys coming
Oh yeah Reed is back.

kyle please shut up man, you always have something to say, i cant think of one kentucky fan that actually likes you, please stop.
NEWS: Duke guard Jeremy Roach is entering the transfer portal while declaring for the NBA Draft, he announced.
The 6-2 senior averaged 14 PPG this season. Former McDonald’s All-American.
Hearing Baylor associate HC Alvin Brooks III, whose father was director of basketball ops at Kentucky under Billy Gillispie, could be a name to watch for Mark Pope’s staff. Brooks would be a big-time get for UK.
One thing I think helps separate me with UK fans then others who report news, or shares information is I actually try to interact with everyone who tweet questions. People appreciate that.
Just got text that it only takes 2nd round grade to have Jaxson Robinson stay in draft... Ansley makes more sense to take with Lanier.
You got to keep one spot open for later in summer.
5⭐️ AJ Dybantsa is On3's No. 1 overall player in the 2025 class.
The 6-8 wing updates his recruitment, talking Auburn, Arkansas, UNC, Oregon, and the new Kentucky staff:

Averaged 13.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 blocks this season.
MJ said earlier regarding announcement not until Sun/Mon. Keep in mind he is talking about UK, but with social media that stuff gets released sooner. I was told that an assistant name would leak out today. I can assure you that assistants are actively recruiting for UK today.
This next week will bring lots of updates. Today ends the elite camp many transfers attended. Today also starts the early stages of NBA combine for those invited. I can ensure you we will get two more. I predict Lanier, if not promised 1st round grade, he will decide within week.
Consider me stunned Saunders is returning to BYU. I'll take the loss on that one. Obviously I wasn't only one feeling he was coming to Kentucky makes you wonder what changed.
Regardless I'll take the L
UK's 2024-25 Roster so far:
PG: Lamont Butler, Kerr Kriisa
SG: Koby Brea, Collin Chandler, Travis Perry
SF: Otega Oweh, Trent Noah
PF: Andrew Carr
C: Amari Williams, Brandon Garrison
My guess is UK takes at least 1 but probably 2 more within the next 30-45 days.
BREAKING: Kentucky transfer forward Adou Thiero has committed to Arkansas and John Calipari, he tells

The 6-8 sophomore averaged 7.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game this season.

The former McDonald’s All-American is finalizing a visit to Kentucky for this weekend.
Story:
Talked to someone who advised recruiting to be strategic. A wide net has been cast, but we've zeroed on a few as must gets. Plan to provide a list shortly of those who I know have been contacted.
I know many won't care or believe it but Calipari has chip on shoulder again. The 2025 class will be the best class we've ever had. And we are finalist for many in portal. Glad to see this side of him again.
Coach Kelsey is trying to put Louisville back on map like they deserve as an elite school. I would be shocked if Jayden Quaintance isn't their
#1
priority.
These next few days will include lists getting narrowed down, visits being scheduled, and a few more commitments coming. Coach Pope and team are doing a great job casting a wide net, but making each feel as a top priority.
NEW: Kentucky is set to host Farleigh Dickinson transfer Ansley Almonor for a visit on Tuesday, he tells
@PolacheckKSR
.
Almonor had a Zoom meeting with UK's coaching staff over the weekend.
STORY:
Conversations will definitely begin Monday/Tuesday on next steps. Calipari is staying. Wagner, Thiero, Big Z, and Sheppard stays as of this morning. Dillingham, Reeves, Edwards, and Mitchell gone.
Bradshaw, Ugo, Jordan Burks, and Joey Hart transfer.
Invest my time to interact with fans, have a conversation, and end up taking heat from other UK fans that's wild.
Also, some are misrepresenting what was said to create their own narrative.
According to
@EvanMiya
, Kentucky currently has the third overall transfer class.
That class includes four five-star additions, tying Michigan for the most.
Andrew Carr, 36th
Otega Oweh, 42nd
Kerr Kriisa, 64th
Lamont Bulter, 67th
Analytics like the additions.
I think it's important to realize there are so many pages with content that feel they have to push updates to keep you engaged and paying for their services.
Don't hang on their every post and update. We are doing a great job and are in the final three for many.
Love seeing all of our fanbase engaged again. I've not seen anything like this in almost 8 years. The variety of spaces I've joined and just seeing the excitement is awesome.
To those not enjoying my posts.
