Wayne State University will re-open on Tuesday, January 29. Due to extreme weather conditions, the university will close at 4 p.m. (Campus shuttles will run until 5 p.m.) and remain closed through Wednesday, January 30.

WSU’s K-9 Havoc to receive body armor from the nonprofit Vested Interest in K9s Inc. The armor will be embroidered with “In memory of Sergeant Collin Rose."
On June 23, 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. led the Walk to Freedom down Woodward Avenue to Cobo Hall, where he gave an early version of his “I Have a Dream” speech.
In honor of everything King has done, the university will be closed today. May his legacy live on.
