We are proud to show you the product of our recent hard work to modernise and improve our school. We have rebranded, freshened up our school uniform (available in the coming weeks) and designed a brand new outdoor EYFS learning environment (being installed in August) 👍🏻🥰
Our Year 3 and 4 pupils raised £171 to support Ukraine with a sing for Ukraine coffee morning on Friday. We are very proud of the children and grateful to our community for their support.

One of our key focuses for the 22-23 academic year is reading and reading for pleasure. Our librarian has spent the summer tailoring the books in each classroom to the new cohort's interests and abilities and teachers have been redesigning their book corners

EYFS set up a camera in their classroom to see who laid the eggs and look what they found! The mother Tyrannosaurus Rex has now taken her eggs with her. Let’s learn more about dinosaurs!
Our outdoor learning environment for KS1 and KS2 has been brought to life over the summer holiday with these amazing geography maps and history timelines (personalised with WKPS history). Thanks to our amazing PTA!

A huge well done to one of our Y6 pupils for her brilliant fundraising efforts for Charles Thompson Mission. She has been fantastic from the start from organising the books to giving up her time to sell the books and raffle tickets! A grand total of £210 was raised!

Our EAL lead teacher sourced and arranged tickets for our Ukranian pupils to go to Everton for Everton v Dynamo Kyiv on Friday 29th July.

On Friday, it was National TA Day! We are so grateful to our TA team - they provide immesurable support to the teachers and children in the school. This is just a few of our wonderful TA team. Thank you for all that you do ☺️👍
We were inspected by the Food Standards Agency today and awarded the top rating again. We're really proud of our freshly prepared in-house food and our amazing kitchen team, led by Lou, who also works in our wrap-around care provision (Waves) and makes their food too!

Our Y3/Y4 Dodgeball Team took part in the Merseyside County Finals and came 6th overall. They won the 'Spirit of the Games' award for showing amazing School Games values including honesty and team work 👏🏼👏🏼❤️❤️

Our tag rugby team came 2nd in the Inter-School Tag Rugby Competition AND 👏 won the Sportsmanship Trophy - we are very proud of you! 🥰

As part of mental health week, the wellbeing ambassadors from year 6 led a session for all of year 3 and 4. The pupils thought about what strategies we can use to look after our mental health and made these lovely 'wheels of self-care'.
Our wonderful F2s had a fantastic time this morning at West Kirby Concourse with Edsential. They took part in multi skills, karate and badminton! They worked so hard and learned many new skills! we are super proud of them all!
Our staff spent part of our Inset Day sharing with each other the children's books that they read over the summer holiday. We have also been investing in each classroom's reading corner with, as ever, help from our school librarian

KS1 had a fantastic day at Weaver Hall Museum on Friday learning all about The Great Fire of London. We learned all about Samuel Pepys and what it was like to live in London in 1666.

Our flower bed is looking lush for summer! 💐Wildflowers are growing nicely and we have just planted geraniums and a beautiful plum tree! PLEASE HELP KEEP THEM WATERED 💦 If anyone is able to pour on a bottle of water as they walk past, it is greatly appreciated!
