Studying some of these Ruddish Mickey shorts to get a better grasp of how they rig, time, and space animations, and applying it with my own Luigi rig here. It's one of my favorite newer styles. I like how much mileage they get with a small number of asset drawings
Had an animation from a commission that coincided with the E.Gadd's Garage project, so I tested it out with a BG I had previously made. I like the way the line weight looks on the character, and the mostly lineless look for the BG
It's E.Gadd's Garage! Tried out a new style from the last BG so I have some range to test character animations over. Once I figure out which works better I'll go forward with that style.

Some iterations of E.Gadd's house. Seemed fitting to go for that spooky Victorian look at first, but landed on something that seemed closer to a PM64 Toad Town style building. In the story he lives within walking distance to M&L's home.
I've been making a habit to follow people on here who are good with color, and I feel like I'm picking up some good habits. Really happy with the color blocking on this BG
A thumbnail I did for this nasty new combo video. Check it out in the link below.
@luigit0ilet
threw this whole thing together so give him a roaring "bang-bang"
Trying out a tech in animate where I made that chain a brush stroke so you don't have to move individual pieces. It's just one chain shaped line that you tweak around; saves a lot of time.

Here's the rough animatic for the 1st short. I got 11 more of these written, and they're all short sketches of Mario side characters. If you like behind the scenes content or just want to support then check the link in the bio for my Pat-reon.
