Abandoned Castles in France. There are aproximitaly 45 000 Chateaus(French word for Castle) in France, with only 11 000 listed as heritage sites and restored, leaving thousands still abandoned and in decay.

The ancient Carnyx was a wind instrument of the Iron Age Celts, used between c. 200 BC and c. AD 200. It was used in warfare, probably to incite troops to battle and intimidate opponents.
