During a SSBN strategic deterrent patrol in the Pacific during the particularly strong '97/'98 El Niño, we were taking 16° rolls hundreds of feet down. Lost multiple FWAs (BIG problem). What was supposed to be a routine patrol was anything but. Wildest one I had.
