We're very excited to be one of the first trusts to start vaccinating using the Oxford AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine today! It's a historic day for us all and we couldn't be prouder to be playing our part in the biggest vaccination programme in the history of the NHS.

We will be allowing free parking at our hospital sites for all colleagues from 5pm today (20 March). From April, we will remove colleague contribution for parking until further notice. We are also exploring options for additional parking - especially at the RLI site.

We are pleased to have been informed today that UHMBT will receive an allocation of £2m as part of the Prime Minister's announcement that 117 NHS Trusts will be be allocated a share of £300m to upgrade A&E facilities.
Sandra Lively, a retired midwife who has lived in Halton for 30 years, wanted to do her bit during the coronavirus pandemic by making a few pairs of scrubs for NHS staff - and has now delivered 60 sets to our hospitals, with more on the way!
