Was saving this until after the season because I didn’t want it to seem like sour grapes at the time. Also not chirping the refs because it’s an almost impossible call in real-time but…….is this a goal/not a goal?

The game this Friday vs Cal Poly has been canceled and the rest of our season is postponed indefinitely. Thinking about our seniors and hope we get the chance to give them the celebration and send off they deserve. Tough day for everyone. Can’t wait to get back on the field...
As we prepare to start the 50th season of lacrosse at UCSB, we look back to the OGs and appreciate the legacy they created. As it was back then, it’s a great day to be a Gaucho!
The 2023 season was a special one. Brought the WCLL trophy back to SB. Earned a bid to the tournament. More than that though was the incredible display of heart and grit from these guys. Every time they were down, they fought back.
Asante sana to Coach Allen and both

Huge thanks to our four captains who have led the team through a challenging year. Without practices or games, they’ve kept the team together and left a legacy for next year’s team to follow. C-wise from top L- Ben Jennings, Tristan Mori-Sloane, Isaac Baker, Jake Nolls
Some stat notes from the 2023 season- Junior attackman Lucas Menendez put up the first 60+ point season (65) for the Gauchos since Casey Mix in 2014 (60)
Another great showing by our Gauchos Lacrosse family up north. We ate well, had great support on the sidelines, and got to catch up with family and alumni. The people make the program. Thanks for the support!
Today would have been senior day for this outstanding group. Thank you for everything you’ve given to this program- Dylan Dodge, Thomas Matthew, Matt Mayer, and Jake Newman!
From the first FO vs Leukemia in 2012, this weekend has always been a special part of what our program is about. We're grateful to the teams and officials for supporting this event. It's the people who make this program great, and it's an honor to celebrate Stephan. Go Gauchos!
Pregame shot from our scrimmage with Chapman tonight. Had some good moments, learned a lot, and looking forward to being back on the field at 10am for the first game of the FO vs Leukemia event.
The Gauchos have elected four captains for the 2020 season. Seniors Matt Mayer and Jake Newman are joined by juniors Ben Jennings and Chandler Pearce as the team’s leaders.
Driving back to SB on the bus with a great group of Gauchos. It’s disappointing to see the season come to an end but this group has a lot to be proud of. The seniors were excellent examples of servant leaders and brought this team together.
Congrats to the newest members of the Gauchos Lacrosse Hall of Fame! Max Kemsley ‘87 and Chris Schaible’09 will be inducted into the HOF during Alumni Weekend Nov 12-14
Yesterday, we announced the Matt Lynn
#19
award winner for this season. Andrew Smith was voted by his teammates to wear 19 in 2022. The award is given to the player that best demonstrates Matty’s qualities of selflessness, hard work, and a positive attitude Congrats, Smitty!
Also, in the last week, the support from alumni, parents, and friends of the program has been phenomenal. We would not be here without you. Extremely proud of this group. Even though the season has ended, it’s a great day to be a Gaucho!
