If mormon priesthood powers are real, why are they just sitting in church and wasting time watching sports? Why are they not at hospitals every day and bringing relief and cure to the ill. Oh, that's right...it isn't actually real - and it doesn't actually work.
Mormon life hack: If you learn the secret handshakes and magic phrases on YouTube, then you should be able to successfully work your way into heaven without paying the exorbitant fees. You're welcome. Merry Christmas.
It is funny to me that Mormons are a tiny irrelevant group of weird extremists with fringe beliefs who have been conditioned to believe they are part of a major, respectable, mainstream organization rather than a wacky, inbred, backwoods doomsday cult founded by a con man.
This made me chuckle. "Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are known for their healthy lifestyles." Compared to who? I see an abundance of truly atrocious lifestyle choices among mormons. l

The
#mormon
church requires members to meet individually with leaders every year to review their donation history and attest to whether or not it constitutes a full tithe. The church demands transparency, but defiantly refuses to provide transparency or accountability.
Seriously, who takes advice about serious life-stuff from a couple of sheltered 19-year-old
#mormon
bros who just barely left the bubble of an overbearing mother?
Why do
#mormons
spend time and resources hassling people to join the church? Why not not just wait and focus resources on baptizing people after they're dead? That would help achieve the mission and be a more efficient use of time and resources? Or, is revenue the real driver?
If mormon priesthood blessings actually worked, how is it morally defensible for mormons to spend their time spewing venom on Twitter rather than spending it in a hospital?
Philadelphia catholic priest, Armand Garcia, has pled guilty to raping a girl who was an altar server at the Immaculate Heart of Mary's Elementary School.
Mormons are like that bird in the cage. The cage door is open and life is more rewarding and enjoyable outside the cage, but mormons prefer to double down on life inside the bubble. Oh, well.
Why do
#mormons
get so hung up on what people wear to church, rather than focus on the fact they actually showed up? The sign outside says "all are welcome," so who cares if a shirt is white or blue - or if someone is wearing a hoodie, a blanket or a burlap bag?
If we now are to disregard certain of Brigham Young's statements to to his errors of discernment, shouldn't we basically consider all his statements equally suspect? Same for Joseph Smith?
โHad I anything to do with the negro, I would confine them by strict law to their own species...โ

baptism, know that in addition to giving up lots of time, money and free labor & subject yourself to gaslighting & rules they wonโt tell you about until later, your dating pool will be shallow...with mostly insecure nerds and incels.
#Mormons
are willing to accept the most fantastical and logic-defying tales based simply on faith and zero evidence other than "feeling," but logical explanations require an evidentiary burden higher than criminal court. A two-tiered system for truth for members of the cult.
Mormons only recognize the validity of personal revelation that confirms the most recent official version of "truth." Layers upon layers of confirmation bias and the circular logic fallacy to control you. Have fun at church.
What percentage of mormon temple recommend holders would you estimate are not 100% honest or forthcoming in their responses to temple recommend questions?
You can't be part of a ridiculous group, hold ridiculous beliefs or advocate for ridiculous positions, and then be offended when you are ridiculed for being ridiculous.

@BrocA96
I've read it. Let's just say it's not going to win any prizes. Also, good thing there is no person holding copyright to the Bible, as the church would likely get hit with action due to plagiarizing. Also, the author of BoM included many errors and logical problems.
If you are considering joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (
@Ch_JesusChrist
) please take a moment and read how
#Mormons
treat those who don't fall in line with their demands.
Former Mormon, David Archuleta, dropped new music. Here is how Mormons responded:
Looking at the list of the Top 100 American charities for 2023. Mormons claim they donate the most of any organization. Guess which church did not even make the top 100 list? Please explain.
Not sure why

men would want to spend life with someone sexually inexperienced, unless they really just aspire to a lifetime of mediocre sex. Shaming women as "sluts" is counter-productive to their own marital happiness. Practice makes perfect and fellatio never faileth.
Does anyone actually believe Mormon garments provide physical protection? We have all heard the myth about the fire not burning covered skin. Film yourself as proof. I am willing to pay for the gas and matches. Put up or shut up.
Zina Jacobs and Mary Lightner were married and pregnant when Joseph Smith received a "revelation" that they must marry him. Mary's heartbroken husband was sent on numerous missions. After Joseph died, Brigham Young required her to marry him.
It's like a broken record...another mormon man in a position of authority sexually abusing children. Kids are not safe at mormon church. Now, stand by for someone soon claiming there is no problem with sex abuse - or trying to deflect by bringing up baptists or catholics.
Does anyone want to use and demonstrate their awesome priesthood powers to pray to make sure I do not make any posts to Twitter/X on Friday, February 16, 2024? All are invited.
So interesting to see mormons credit god's plan when it reinforces their existing beliefs. When one similarly credits god's plan when events do NOT reinforce their existing beliefs, you can be labeled a "ghoul" for pointing out that inconsistency. Clowns.
No repentance without accountability, or so I have been told in church. Once again, the mormon church asks us to live by standards it chooses not to observe for itself.
If we believe that the abuse or any child of God is inexcusable, we should make all leadership mandatory reporters of abuse. Facing the legal consequences should be part of the repentance process, and I don't think Bishops and SPs should be able to decide that it isn't.
Mormon apologetics are so pathetic.
Since you canโt prove the church is true (although you CAN prove itโs NOT true) then just change the meaning of the word โtrueโ.
Giving value to "eyewitness" accounts as "evidence" of truthfulness of
#Mormonism
becomes meaningless when we know that the "eyewitness" to the First Vision, Joseph Smith, told several dramatically different versions to describe what he allegedly saw.
@CheesyZingers
Brigham Young: "Shall I tell you the law of God in regard to the African race? If the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God, is death on the spot. This will always be so."
"I have a hard time with historians because the idolize the truth" is about the most
#mormon
thing I have read today. Then, of course, Packer goes on to offer a ludicrous analogy, complete with problematic references to women (which also should not surprise anyone).
And yet another example why I don't want to squander my life within the context of organized religion. Brigham Young was quite the character. It's hard to believe they put his name on the schools.
Mormons come at me: "what are mormons?" & "we're not mormons - it's a bad word" Church web site: "Mormonism is a term defining the religious beliefs and practices of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as Mormons."

Former Mormon elders quorum president; sentenced to two concurrent terms of 15 years in the Utah State Prison for raping a child. Your children are not safe from sexual abuse in the mormon church.
Mormon child sexual abuse? By a missionary? Yes. By a bishop? Yes. In bishopโs office? Yes. In Primary? Yes. In Sacrament meeting? Your kids are not safe at mormon church.
The year was 1852 and the Utah Territorial Legislature had a decision to make: whether to grant Black men the right to vote. Governor and mormon prophet Brigham Young, pushed back, arguing โwe just as well make a bill here for mules to vote as Negroes or Indians.โ
Unfortunately, what
#mormons
say in press releases is often different from the positions they quietly take in court. Suddenly no longer quite so into the golden rule of the parable of the Good Samaritan.

The
#Mormon
church is its people, and the people are the church. When mormons try to suggest these are separate entities in an effort to protect the church when its people do stupid things, that is wildly dishonest.
Mormons better hurry up and baptize vulnerable people in third world countries to help prop up the numbers. Then, when most of them learn more about mormonism and fall away from the church, the church gets to continue to count them until they turn 110 years old.
The LDS Church declined to turn over its state membership breakdowns to Utahโs government in late 2021 due to the pandemic making the latest figures unreliable. The church planned to resume data-sharing the following year but it didnโt โ and it wonโt.
Do not base your life around an organization that believes it has a higher responsibility to protect

Based on how mormons actually behave, I conclude their attendance at church is performative and not rooted in any commitment to the teachings of Christ. It's a boring social club with unjustified fees.

If you have visited other, more high-functioning civilized nations, you will find these in many places-and they work great. I get that it's foreign to some, but after one or two visits, you realize this is not a big deal. BTW, women go into the men's room regularly here in U.S.
Elder Kearon, if you have more than empty words...
The LDS Church caused me devastating harm, enabling 6yrs of sex abuse by NOT reporting a known LDS pedo, warning no one, & later telling me to REPENT for my abuse & calling me chewed gum.

Women Relief Society leaders have been sitting on the stand facing the pews during Latter-day Saint Sunday services in the San Francisco Bay Area for a decade or more.
Last month, the practice was abruptly discontinued.
Another day, another mormon MISSIONARY fondling a 3-year old child while the mother was being distracted by 2 other missionaries. Do not allow these people into your home or leave your kids alone with mormons.
