The idea that G5 would ne more successful with this G4 reboot version is stupid because
- They would have made a movie released on Netflix
-They would have made a severely underfunded follow-up movie on Netflix and a lot of people would lose interest because it didn't hold up.
@MLPonyFacts
I think the criticism that it's tonally inconsistent with the rest of the series is valid. Everything the episode says is very true, though.
"Sunny was the main character bet now it feels like Zipp is the main character. "
"Now it feels like Misty is the main character. Sunny's supposed to be the main character."
The show is about the whole group. Sunny just happens to be the leader.(1/3)
"I wish G4 got a console game"
Well I wish G5 got 9 FULL FUCKING SEASONS BUT WE CAN'T SLWAYS GET WHAT WE FUCKING WANT, CAN WE? (this is joke anger btw)
If you're still making negative reviews this deep into a series you have zero credibility. You're just running your mouth based on personal biases and you're not accurately depicting anything that the show has to offer because you're so focused on getting those negativity views.
I've been seeing a lot of criticism that this opening dance number is pointless. I personally think it does a really good job at illustrating that feeling of everyone having their shit together except you that sets the tone of the special for Izzy.
I can't stand it it when someone says "G5 just doesn't have the spark that made G4 unique". G5 isn't trying to be 'more G4'. If I went into any show expecting it to have the same kind of unique charm of an already existing show, nothing would be good.
The throughline from ANG to the end of MYM is underrated. It starts with Sunny wanting to bring a divided Equestria together, and ends with Equestria being so unified that everyone is able to come together to defeat Opaline.
Ayyyyy I made it to 100 followers. To celebrate this milestone I did a drawing inspired by the 100th episode of The Simpsons.
Thank you, everyone!

Brony Youtubers: "We're only criticizing G5 so we can point out the mistakes and it can improve
G5: *actually improves*
Brony youtubers: *negative hyperbole intensifies*
"G5 doesn't explain what happened to Twilight"
FiM ends with Celestia and Luna straight up leaving. Why do we have a hard time inferring that Twilight eventually did the same?
Pipp. I've struggled with confidence my whole life, so Pipp has become a role model to better myself in that area. She's also my biggest comfort character right now.
Remember when the first G5 imaged were revealed abd the first thing bronies noticed were how small the butts were. That made me embarrassed to be part of the fandom.
@g5mlp
I honestly blame that "the birth of an Alicorn is beyond our understanding" line for being so vague more than I blame anything afterward that anyone can perceive as a contradiction to that vague as hell line of dialogue.
TYT: *Does fun little stories to vibe out to with fun characters*
"Ew, this show is just fluff with no depth"
Also TYT: *Does episodes with more emotional weight*
"Why are they bothering to tell heavier stories without the proper runtime?"
Alphabittle and Haven need to hurry up and get married and start a blended family so G5 can reach its full potential by having the same setup as The Cleveland Show.
The biggest thing that I think G5 improves over G4 is that each if the characters feel like they're part of the larger story. In G4 the larger stories were very Twilight focused, and the mane 6 kinda just followed her around.(2/3)
G5 is a different product from G4 and shouldn't be forced to follow G4's structural tendencies. Sunny serves a different function from Twilight, and that's okay. I personally prefer the group focus over having a one true protagonist and sidelining the other characters (3/3)
@JullyPark0208
This youtubet named GenoSamuel2.1 has a documentary series on Chris Chan that's currently on episodes 84 is you really want to know. Chris Chan puts themselves in front of a camera so much that they're one of the most publicly documented people in history.
@TheTumboy
The thing with the prequels is that the stories are so good on paper, but the directing and acting are so dull and lifeless that I'm physically unable to engage with them.
@GatorGoatJohnny
Just remember that Guardians of Harmony was aimed at older fans and didn't sell well at all lol
I personally liked them, but that doesn't matter much.
@quantumHippolog
If G5 is doing it's own thing it's "ignoring G4 and doing a bad job tying into that universe" but if it references G4 it's "Piggybacking and can't stand on it's own". These people need to admit that they're just not going to like anything.
