These Pass Interference reviews by NFL officiating are not making any sense. Clear DPIs last week not overturned. Clear push off by Antonio Brown does not get overturned but Minnesota TD pass gets called back due to blocking downfield. Not sure what the standard is right now.

Just a note for Eagles fans. In 2005 when I was coaching the Colts we beat the Steelers in Week 12 26-7 in a game we totally dominated. Steelers came back to Indy in Divisional round and beat us and went on to win Super Bowl XL. Playoffs are a new season. We’ll see what happens.

CBS Pregame Show just showed Whitney Houston’s rendition of the National Anthem at SB XXV during the Gulf War. It is still electric 30 years later. Still brings tears to my eyes.

Watching so many of these games come down to one possession or one play it is really crazy how Pass Interference is called so inconsistently. Bears were penalized on a questionable call in the 4th Qtr but didn’t get this one??

Blessing in disguise was a poor choice of words by me. It’s not a blessing for Dak. What I meant was that for the Cowboys the season is not over. Andy Dalton is very capable and changing the focus back to Elliott could help the defense. But I feel very badly for Dak.

That’s incredible. The Lions DB is trying to make an interception. He is playing the ball all the way and gets an unnecessary roughness penalty. Hard to believe.

I’m not talking to the Supreme Court, the general public, or anyone who doesn’t believe the Bible. If you don’t believe the Bible I get it. I’m talking to the “Christian pastor” who professes to follow the Bible but thinks we’re free to “choose” when to end another person’s life.

Edgerrin was worth every penny he was paid by the Cardinals that year. We went with Joseph Addai & Domenic Rhodes and got 1722 yds rushing from them. We saved a ton of money and used savings to sign Dwight Freeney, Reggie Wayne & Dallas Clark to long term deals. Economic reality.

The chew them up/spit them out approach to RBs is unfortunate but not new. In 2006, the Colts let Edgerrin James walk away after a franchise-tag 1,500-yard season. They drafted Joseph Addai to replace him, and they won the Super Bowl that same year.

I have an idea for NFL replay of catch-no catch. Get a panel of 10 third graders. Let them look and ask them “Did he catch it or not?” Give them 5 seconds to respond. Thumbs up or thumbs down? I think we would have more consistent results. 😀

I’m sorry but the deep officiating in the Seattle Rams game has been horrendous. Big game changing calls on holding and pass interference that have not even been close to being right. Hard to imagine officials being that far off.

Brady and Gronk have been great but the Bucs had an excellent plan on both sides of the ball. You have to credit Byron Leftwich & Todd Bowles. They learned a lot from the first game and their adjustments tonight were superb. Kept Chiefs off balance all night. Masterful coaching!

I came away from Arrowhead stadium last night very impressed with the Chiefs. Their defense played fast and their offense is so diverse. Mahomes puts pressure on you in so many ways and the home crowd is a big lift. I’m picking them to win next week no matter who they play.
