Michigan still has only five 11+ win seasons since 1906 (1971, 1986, 1997, 2006, 2011). The Buckeyes have won 11+ seven times under Urban Meyer alone. The Wolverines have two 12+ win seasons in history (1905, 1997) OSU has six 12+ win seasons under Meyer.

The Big Ten Championship is great, and a Rose Bowl trip is amazing. But the real highlight of the last 10 days for OSU was knocking Michigan from “PLAYOFFS! THIS IS OUR YEAR!” to a noon Peach Bowl game against Florida. That is quite a tumble.

In 2022, Michigan's defense was +18 in mgoblog's "Rock Paper Scissors" metric against Penn State, meaning their coaching staff was incredibly good at putting their defense in the right calls for what the opponent was doing. In 2023, Michigan's defense was -7. Quite a change.
