“You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.”
A classic.
In PH, Duterte critics opposed the emergency powers.
Japan, the US & other countries have now declared state of emergency and rolled out emergency powers and stimulus packages as high as 20% of GDP.
Duterte was right on track all along. His early lockdown gave PH a head start.

Dear Kitty, tell you dad, that we, Filipinos, will miss him terribly. Thank him for freeing us from the shackles of greed, incompetence & utter hopelessness that permeated the political landscape in the last few decades & for making us believe that Philippines can be great again.
People should blame ABS-CBN for the loss of jobs of its talents and employees, not the government. For a network claiming to be in the service of Filipinos, it neglected its paramount duty to serve its own people by its failure to secure timely approval of its franchise renewal.
Landslide votes for the BBM-Sara tandem is a big slap on Robredo’s face. People saw how dysfunctional and debilitating, not to mention exhausting, it is for a govt to have a VP who undermines the govt’s policies and competes with its programs at every chance she can get.
Robin Padilla’s level of intellect and credibility is much higher than the celebrities that endorsed Robredo. He famously stood up against the unfair labour practice of ABS-CBN and exposed the hypocrisy of its talents. No wonder he finished
#1
in the Senate race.
I hear people questioning why no celebration among Uniteam supporters. Your definition of “celebration” is too shallow. For folks who carried BBM-Sara to landslide victory, celebration is going back to the daily grind with a renewed hope and anticipation for a better Philippines.
Palengke is their place of work. They are self-employed,not salaried. No work,no pay. No sales,no profit. By building a crowd in front of their shops, you’re preventing them from earning a living. Wala ka na nga mabigay na hanapbuhay, nakakasagabal ka pa. Then u want their votes?
Hello, mga beshie! I am back! 😀😘😊
Thanks to everyone who reached out and made time to tweet heartwarming messages during my hiatus. You know who you are and you’re here in my ❤️.
Pangilinan quoted, “Let us transform our grief into revolutionary courage”.
He inciting their supporters to “fight”. And he made so many allegations like fraud, vote-buying, disinformation, lies.
Now, you appreciate Mar Roxas after the election in 2016. He was more civil.
No wonder Maria Ressa was convicted of libel. She has a knack for premature reporting.
SPMC was the receiving hospital for COVID-19 patients in the entire Mindanao—population of which is 26.5M.
And how many public hospitals serve COVID-19 cases in NCR? Not just PGH.
Sara has been very clear in her priority programs during her campaign: education, jobs and peace and order. This resonated to 31 million Filipinos who delivered her astounding victory.

. And here u are preaching how the President shld be a symbol of hope to provide assurance that he’ll bring PH to safety. Such hypocrites. Duterte is no fool to waste his time to appease you. The 91% who trust him are happy. U don’t matter.
In 2018, ABS-CBN Total Assets at P84.5B is 5 times GMA’s P15.3B. Yet, net income before tax is P1.98B versus GMA’s P3.3B. ABS-CBN paid taxes of P72M whereas GMA paid P1.0B.
Either ABS-CBN’s is grossly mismanaged or something is seriously amiss. Tax difference is glaring.
The most trusted Philippine President in recent memory made so many enemies in his quest to free the Filipinos from the shackles of greed, corruption and criminality. He bravely fought head-on illegal drugs, the oligarchs, media networks, communist insurgents & political elites.
Bittersweet to say goodbye to this man who impressed us with his no-nonsense approach to handle and fix things no one dared to face squarely before. He inspired us to be politically-engaged—to help salvage and redeem what is left of our Yellowtard-ravaged nation.
Looking at how 1st world countries are responding now to COVID19 pandemic, Duterte’s decisive & conservative approach proved timely, appropriate and calculated based on PH’s financial capabilities and healthcare capacities taking into account the social & economic repercussions.
Ressa is highly manipulative. She capitalized on Duterte’s popularity, painted him in a bad light, besmirched his reputation. She has shaped a totally different, unrecognizable Duterte in int’l community. And with her lies, she dishonored the country & disrespected its citizens.
Duterte’s invisible hand is working thru his entire govt. How many times have u trended
#NasaanAngPangulo
on various calamities and yet in all of those times, PH breezed thru the ordeal. Why? Bcoz, a no nonsense govt knows how to navigate tough situations sans the PR fanfare.
They demanded more tests. The govt responded. Now they complain that PH has more cases. Well, isn’t that the point of testing—to know the real numbers? So people won’t get comfy & become complacent, to always bear in mind that the virus is still very much w/ us & act responsibly.
Wow! ABS-CBN is the biggest employer in the world—11 million?! 😂
Walmart has only 2.2 million and Amazon, not even a million.
Maria Ressa is the biggest fake news peddler in the world. Shame.
MARIA RESSA:
"This is a network that has 11 million employees while I was still handling the news group."
PINOCCHIA-NG-INA! Yung 11K nga malaking kalokohan na, naging 11M pa. And she calls herself a journalist. 😆😜🤮
ABS-CBN was on air back in Yolanda. Did it make a difference? Nah.
BS Aquino, Roxas & the rest of the chipmunks were there. What happened? Their presence made the situation worse.
Duterte has built a calamity-proof govt. He created leaders to serve in his stead, not followers.
Awww…this girl is itching to instigate a “revolution” since 2019. My goodness, Sara’s lead over her dad is 21 million give or take and she still refuses to heed the message. 😀
The opposition hatched every trick up their sleeve to block a BBM Presidency, but failed. Now, they will exploit each other’s grief and rage over an overwhelming loss into hatred and rebellion to incite anarchy. They do not respect democratic process. They are simply traitors.
Duterte thanked those who appreciate what the government is doing. For those who are not happy, he promised to do better. 😊
You’re welcome, Mr. President. Walang iwanan at walang tulugan. 😉
Millenials of Twitter do not represent the entire statistical population in PH. They may be the loudest in this platform but this is not a definitive assessment of their relative power as a voting bloc. Just pure noise that obscures meaningful data and sends wrong signals.
And who is this guy? Following his patron’s footsteps desperately trying to hog attention.
We can’t entrust PH’s future to these “influencers” who live by tweets, likes and shares. PH needs productive citizens, those with real jobs that make a difference for the country.
Yellows have politicized absolutely everything. They corrupted, prostituted and turned everything into an opportunity to make themselves look good while maliciously giving the false impression that Duterte is not doing his job, or worse, taking credit for what his govt is doing.
It appears the 40-million strong millennials and Gen Z trust and approve of Duterte’s performance as Chief Executive based on the latest Pulse Asia survey. So, essentially, the minority Twitter wokes have effectively been cancelledt.
Bye Felicia. 😉
Changed colour and logo, wa epek. Launched pink lugaw, pink puto, everything pink, to no avail. Copied Andrew E’s rap, the caravan, the sorties. Copycat, follow-the-leader. No coherent message. Everything is afterthought. Reflective of the kind of govt one would expect from them.
Venting your frustrations is the easy part. The challenge is to channel these frustrations into something positive to make things better for the people who look up to you. Until you’ve proven your worth as a private citizen or a public servant, air of arrogance does not help.
Vietnam is historically a strong nation, not bcoz of its size or economic power, but its patriotism & nationalism. It has defeated FRA, USA & CHN.
Whereas, PH is infested w/ journalists who would badmouth the nation for personal gains even if it would destroy its reputation.
Times like these, I really appreciate you all, my Tweetmates. Thank you!
This is a long game, folks. We cannot lose sight of our goal to keep fighting for what is best for our country.
Why blame Duterte? What laws were violated by his govt? Under PH law, a child born in custody can remain w/ the mom for only the 1st month of life. Nasino was allowed more than that. She was charged with a non-bailable offence. Trumped-up charge you say? Prove it in court.
When they realized that the “mass testing” they were demanding was irrational, if not downright stupid, the opposition now say that they never meant to test everyone and cited the same groups that the govt has been testing all along. They are just a bunch of ill-informed whiners.
Lawmakers are now playing superhero blaming NTC and even threatening to hold it in contempt for backtracking on the issuance of PA. Fact is, they had years to renew the franchise but they didn’t. And ABS-CBN didn’t find it a priority either to push for the franchise renewal.
In just one day—ABS-CBN’s hope was shattered.
No provisional franchise from the Lower House.
No TRO from the Supreme Court.
ABS-CBN will remain off-the-air.
...And its talents will continue to whine, bicker and block people on social media.
Duterte has nothing more to lose. Your attempts to unseat him since 2016 didn’t work. By now, you should know that it’s futile to go head-on with this rockstar and politically-savvy President. You will just antagonize his supporters all the more. It’s political suicide.
Supporting a duly-elected President and his rightful government is not fanaticism. It is the civic duty of each citizen in a democracy.
Supporting Duterte is to put to eternal rest the dark chapters of the country from gross incompetence and mind-blowing greed of past govts.
Journalists are responsible to report on things that matter, put things into perspective, correct misconceptions, mis/disinformation to give people sound basis on how to act and think rationally and responsibly. Nitpicking Duterte’s jokes vs govt policies is not fact-checking.
Celebrity endorsements are used to create AWARENESS on NEW products. Leni is far from being new. She’s been around in the last 6 yrs. The consumers, er, voters, were not impressed. People trust independent product reviews, not subjective endorsement by someone w/ vested interest.
If the NPA can recruit students to take up arms against the State, the government has the paramount duty to protect the State by recruiting students to fight terrorism. Revive ROTC to deter NPA recruitment.
Hypocrisy abounds. People tweeting animals in danger to call the attention of rescuers, but at the same time expect Duterte to be in the middle of the calamity zone to do his job. What job? Filipinos didn’t vote for him to bring relief goods or go house-to-house to rescue people.
We need to speak out against one-sided criticism as it infects political discourse & is insidiously fatal to the resistance Filipinos already won in 2016.Duterte’s support is organic, fueled by volunteerism. It advocates for meaningful change in PH. Can’t lose sight of that goal.
No to Anti-terror Bill.
No to Renaming of NAIA.
No to PUJ Phase Out.
—as PH is still in the middle of COVID-19.
But yes to the ouster of a duly-elected President to be replaced by a VP whose election is still under protest. And yes to unli-rally by protesters.
Mind-boggling.🤷♀️
How—by tweeting? 🤔 Those in distress didn’t have electricity. Their homes were submerged in water. Power lines were down. The last thing they would do is go to Twitter to check your updates. The objective sounds noble, but it doesn’t make sense if you know your target audience.
The “dictator” happened to be the principal sponsor in Sharon’s wedding to Gabby. The Cunetas enjoyed special privileges when Marcos was in power.
So, why did Kiko pursue Sharon knowing such political connection? Bcoz he can’t make it on his own. Ambitious, scheming trapos.
Is ABS-CBN expecting that a new franchise will be granted without confronting the issues on the expired one, the purported violations, and the oppositors? Do they think it will just be served to them on a silver platter like how effortlessly they got the network back in 1995? NO.
What a bunch of morons!😀
They will report me to the Canadian Immigration—seriously? I am only one of the OVERWHELMING Filipino-Canadians who voted for and support Duterte. They can check the results of the 2016 election. Canada will not stifle the very democracy they promote.
Thanks to all for the encouraging words! Didn’t know that an after-lunch Saturday siesta spent tweeting to sharpen my skills, while holed up at home halfway across the globe in this COVID19 pandemic, would reach you. And I’m glad it did.
We learn from each other as I did w/ Sam
Leni is like a broken record on auto play, in perpetual loop. Duterte has already moved on. Yet she continues with her mindless blabber. Why? Bcoz her camp’s propaganda backfired. She’s trying to save face after Duterte exposed her as a credit-grabbing, clueless wannabe leader.
They ridicule Duterte, make fun of him, curse him, wish him dead. And when you push back and say something directed at their demigods, they viciously attack you in droves, insult, and call you names.
Opposition supporters are the most vile, obnoxious people in social media.
Sorry, guys, your ad hominem and expletives can’t compensate for your lack of substance. Intimidation using vile attacks to silence opposing views no longer works. It has lost potency. If you’re not capable of a civil discourse, I won’t allow you to contaminate my feed. Blocked.
Pasay is pink? Think again. Even back in 2016 for the VP post, Marcos dominated all cities in Metro Manila and the lone municipality, except Taguig (which voted Cayetano). And in fact, Marcos got the highest percentage of votes in Pasay City.
Indeed, a free press is a bedrock of democracy, but not when one is weaponizing it against private citizens. Ressa is far from the exemplar of journalism she portrayed herself to be. She is not harassed or intimidated. Rappler has violated a person’s right for which she was sued.
Duterte govt prioritized the passage of Universal Education so you can get free tertiary education to prepare your generation to be the next leaders to help steer PH in the right direction. Instead, you’d rather waste a semester bcoz your govt failed to meet your expectations. 🤷♀️
Leni may not have said it verbatim or used her own Twitter account, but how about this? Did she correct her daughters’ malicious and dishonest tweets. They were feeding innuendoes to fuel divisiveness and discontent towards the govt at a time when Filipinos must bond together.
Wow, Duterte is a rock star! People still flock to see him even in the middle of a pandemic and in a disaster-stricken area. They see sincere, honest-to-goodness public service, not some trapos exploiting their misery for public mileage.
Wokes & celebrities should convert their “activism” into something tangible. They shld enlist themselves to fight the NPAs & other terrorist groups like Abu Sayyaf, BIFF, ISIS to strengthen PH miltary & police, instead of ranting w/o understanding the threat to national security.
Duterte received a higher rating than the New Zealand Prime Minister bcoz Filipinos gave more weight on how Duterte managed the odds despite PH handicap—the limitation in healthcare system, capacity and resources. It is easier to win a war in full battle gear.
The 2022 election coverage proved yet again that mainstream media has become irrelevant in delivering victory to candidates. You can hardly see coverage of the Uniteam while bombarded by every account of Kakampink. BBM-Sara supporters relied heavily on social media to get reports
Duterte is a coward according to critics. Yet, during his time, CHN attempted but never dared occupy any maritime feature.
He’s no coward. He’s brilliant in navigating the SCS row using diplomacy based on pragmatism, not false nationalism. Level-headed, not moronic approach.
Yellows are such hypocrites to preach on white privilege and racism when they promote bigotry and discrimination in PH. They make fun of Visayan accent, they look down on OFWs, discount people based on social class. They even defended a foreigner who berated a Filipino cop.
57% of the total registered voters are aged 18 to 41 yrs old. That’s about 37 million voters, classified as youth vote. The fact that Marcos is leading as survey frontrunner by a wide margin is a testament to the lousy governments they endured during their lifetime post-EDSA.
Dear Twitter wokes: No one wins his/her way to power by mere retweets, likes and viral posts. You need warm bodies to vote. Survey shows the 40M millennials and GenZ form part of the 91% who are satisfied with the incumbent. Do you have what it takes to convince them otherwise?
Critics are now saying the govt should have implemented mass testing, contact tracing & isolation EARLY ON. For them, PH is apparently 6 months behind.
This only goes to show how irrational, short-sighted & narrow-minded they are. They lack critical thinking & basic common sense.
Don’t make it appear like it’s public service on ABS-CBN’s part. The network raked in corporate profits for decades from advertising esp. during elections. Its talents made a fortune w/ substandard shows force-fed to captive Filipino audience. Its charities were funded by donors.
Since Duterte took office in 2016, his last 4 SONAs have emphasized his govt’s priority to establish the Dept of Disaster Resilience that will handle a full-time function, year-round, to prepare for disaster and mitigate them, not just respond. The bill is stuck in Congress.
These self-proclaimed gatekeepers of public discourse continue to devalue Duterte supporters’ unwavering devotion to help him bring change in PH. Now that they don’t have monopoly of discourse anymore, they tag accounts w/ opposing views as trolls, mass report & suppress them.
You set the bar so high when it comes to Duterte. You call him inutile when history will attest to the fact that despite the many major disasters his govt faced—earthquake, eruption, super typhoons, pandemic—he’s able to save as many lives as possible & provided immediate relief.
LOOK: President Duterte conducts an aerial inspection in typhoon-hit Cagayan Valley.
Cagayan has been placed under a state of calamity due to devastating floods which local officials described as the worst in the province's history
📸 Senator Bong Go
Did ABS-CBN intentionally abandon ship?
-P27B loans fr local banks
-Broadcasting segment contributes only 47% to its net income vs GMA’s 88%
-Other segments unprofitable
-Employs 3x the size of GMA’s manpower
-Started hoarding cash in 2019–14x GMA’s level
Who’s gaming Twitter?
How do we know that these suspended Twitter accounts were not created and deployed by the opposition. They know the tricks of the trade so well. They could be projecting them to Duterte’s camp to discredit the govt, confuse & divide its organic support base.
No recovery plan in place?
What about the Bayanihan to Recover as One, the accelerated Build3x and the proposed 2021 National Budget almost 10% higher than 2020.
On top of that, there is also a proposed trillion-peso stimulus package at the lower house.
Aren’t those plans?
How coincidental that dummy FB accounts mushroomed at the time when anti-terror bill is about to be enacted. A speculation that this could be used for a possible oplan-tanim-ebidensya is floated to discredit the bill. Whose ploy cld this be? Ala Plaza Miranda in social media era.
Duterte detractors assume that the most vocal pro-govt supporters are paid hacks, the rest, trolls. Either they’re in denial or trying to give themselves false hope totally missing the point. Once money tap is shut, support should have withered away. Yet, it’s stronger than ever.
Duterte raised the bar for future presidents with his legacy of tangible accomplishments. His leadership is punctuated by the establishment of critical infrastructure for national prosperity and landmark laws for human capital development. A tough act to follow.
#SalamatPRRD
Duterte is not creating a new treaty or international agreement. He is just renegotiating the T&C’s of an EXISTING agreement to make it current w/ the times & needs of the country. So, it only requires an executive action—and foreign policy decisions rest solely w/ the President.
Wow! Since when did Leni become the Commander-in-Chief? She makes it appear like PH military follows the urgency of her order.
She works tirelessly and shamelessly for her grand ambition. Cringey.
Duterte is no fool to heed the Yellow’s recommendation on COVID-19 when they botched a regular vaccination program endangering the lives of Filipino children while they were the incumbent govt. LP leadership is punctuated by mind-blowing incompetence.
Some people tried to connect George Floyd to the purported EJK & police abuses in PH. But that’s the end of it—just dream & drool bcoz no same indignation would happen as you need to convince the public that atrocities & injustices indeed happened. And Filipinos are not buying it
Robredo is all alone in her political posturing. Her Yellow peers are eerily quiet as she continues to strut her stuff in every instance she can get herself in. They are a bunch of ambitious non-achievers who are all coveting a gig in Malacanang. It’s fun to watch them implode.
Stop spreading disinformation. The military has been working since before Ulysses made its landfall. Don’t make it sound like without Robredo, people in harm’s way will not get the help they need. You are pretty much echoing and mirroring what Leni is doing.
If GMA can manage its broadcast operations PROFITABLY to the satisfaction of its stakeholders, while remitting reasonable amount of taxes without the need to do creative corporate layering and tax avoidance schemes, why can’t ABS-CBN?
It boils down to business ethics.
A Pacquiao presidency will be bad for Filipinos. Giving away homes to squatters will just encourage more squatting. PH will be a country of freeloaders. There is no dignity in getting something that you didn’t work hard for. It demoralizes those who work to lead productive lives.
Even rich countries cannot afford “mass testing” and it is not the most cost-effective way to use limited resources. Increased testing capacity by the govt, augmented by targeted testing of employees by employers—if they decide to resume business operations—is a fair compromise.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque admits that the government has no program yet for mass testing, saying that authorities will leave such efforts in the hands of private businesses.
Those who criticize Duterte for defunding Project NOAH are ignorant of its purpose & use. It’s merely a mapping system to track locations vulnerable to flooding & devastation. It won’t prevent flooding. Hence, it’s turned over to Pagasa. Priority shd still be flood control infra.
For oligarchs, like the Lopezes, a family with a long rent-seeking history benefiting from its patronage network within the government, upholding the rule of law is a travesty.
Such impunity gave them undue advantage that allowed ABS-CBN to grow this big and trample competition.
Those who were questioning the budget for National Defense—where are you now? W/o the AFP, who would have protected or rescued PH during these disasters? All of the funds committed by Duterte, fr salary raise to acquisition of choppers & patrol vessels provided immediate pay off.
Apparently, on July 1, Robredo will kick off her Angat Buhay NGO. Great! Let’s see if this will gain traction. Right now, her woke audience is still euphoric. Let’s see how long this will last. Good luck!
Everything that Leni did over the last 6 yrs exploiting the OVP to advance her political ambition backfired. She chose to antagonize the govt she was elected to serve. Big mistake. No rehearsed debates & star-studded rallies can eclipse such treachery & betrayal of public trust.
Rejoice on the fact that COA is extremely busy auditing projects upon projects in the Duterte admin. It means the govt is resolute in delivering results. When COA is idle, that means there is hardly anything to audit. The govt delivered nothing. Case in point: BS Aquino admin.
