In 2018, ABS-CBN Total Assets at P84.5B is 5 times GMA’s P15.3B. Yet, net income before tax is P1.98B versus GMA’s P3.3B. ABS-CBN paid taxes of P72M whereas GMA paid P1.0B. Either ABS-CBN’s is grossly mismanaged or something is seriously amiss. Tax difference is glaring.

Even rich countries cannot afford “mass testing” and it is not the most cost-effective way to use limited resources. Increased testing capacity by the govt, augmented by targeted testing of employees by employers—if they decide to resume business operations—is a fair compromise.
