Thank you for all the condolences and dms. A lot of nice words and kind gestures were sent. The first day/night is always the worst. Today he wasn’t sleeping next to me, sadly he never will again.

Words can not describe that this major has done to me: I am still full of euphoria and joy. I could barely stop smiling. I was so happy all the time! :) I have met do many great people, old friends, and people I have never seen before. And now I can call those guys friends (1/?)

I bought this recently: Verdienstmedaille der DDR. It is quite an interesting medal to me, especially due to its colors scheme resembling the GDR flag. (And I love when ribbons have a little insignia/shape of the medal on it)
