The beautiful arch at Euston Station was torn down in the 1960’s to make way for the current monstrosity. Lumps of the arch were used to plug a breach in the River Lee, and some were ‘rediscovered’ when parts of the river were dredged prior to the Olympics ! #london #history

I’d be interested to know if this still exists in many schools - as a child, I used to spend an inordinate amount of time up wall bars or ropes during ‘gym’, as well as balancing and walking along upturned benches (the floor was lava at the time, I seem to remember). Anyone else?
