My dad only took me to revolutionary war battlefields and presidential libraries on vacation so I was EXTREMELY jealous of the Hard Rock Cafe kids
@TheThomason
My fam went to Los Angeles when I was 10 (My brother went to college there) and some of them went to the HRC but my parents wouldn't let me. Didn't even get me a shirt like I asked. I died. You're literally getting tweeted at by a ghost.
@TheThomason
Prior to the pandemic year I traveled extensively. In every city in every country I visited, if there was a Hard Rock there, I would buy a shirt and send it to my 37 year old son. He has a huge assortment and pretty much wears them everywhere.
@TheThomason
Sixth grade (late 80s) a rich kid wore his Hard Rock Mazatlan shirt to school at least twice a week, and loved to talk about fishing for giant marlin. Step off, dude! Wearing the same shirt over and over is reserved for us poor folk. But... he did let us use his swimming pool.

I bought a pirate one in NYC for $5, not knowing where to look for these cafes, and not having much more than $5 to blow on a t-shirt. It wasnβt hard to tell it was fake because it was as thin as a Kleenex.
@TheThomason
My Grandpa has a collection of them, my mom and I got him one from Florence. He calls it his "my daughter went to Italy and all I got was this t-shirt" shirt.

I can assure you that right now where I live Seaside T-shirts are all the rage for tween girls. All the cool kids are going to Fl this summer.
