I’m heartbroken.
I’ve lost a dear friend and partner.
I’m so grateful that we could spend the last couple of months together doing what we loved best – singing, laughing, and doing shtick.
I’ll miss it all so much. Especially the shtick.
Rest in peace, Nez.
All my love,
Micky

Welcome little one!💝
I had the pleasure of meeting Olivia Newton John many years ago when I played celebrity tennis. Saddened to hear about this lovely lady.

I can't believe it's two years!
I'm so glad we were able to sing together one last time.
No words can convey the loss I feel.

I still can’t believe it’s been one year since that final performance with my partner Nez at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.
He was gone less than a month later.. Still haven’t fully processed it.
Miss ya Nez!

It seems that so many wonderful people are leaving this world, and now Jimmy Buffett is one of them. I’ve known Jimmy for some time and found him to be one of the kindest and most generous people.
I remember once on holiday when I had forgotten to bring my guitar and was…

1) One day in the spring of 1966, I cut my classes in architecture at LA Trade Tech to take an audition for a new TV show called, “The Monkees”.The co-creator/producer of the show was Bob Rafelson. At first I mistook him for another actor there for the audition.
The Dolenz Family 1954 Christmas card, handmade my Micky’s mother.
“My mom was incredibly artistic. She did these Christmas cards every year. And every year she would not only do the handmade cards, but also decorations and paint our big windows with nativity scenes.” - Micky

A sad, sad, day. RIP my beautiful friend and band mate, Dave Alexander. We shared so many years of music and laughs together. For twenty-five years in the various Monkee/Micky configurations you were the consummate musician and vocalist. Wherever you are, you will rock ‘em.
I can’t believe it has been two years since Peter Tork left us...
But he now gets to play all his instruments in that awesome heavenly band❤️

2) Needless-to-say, I got the part and it completely altered my life. Regrettably, Bob passed away last night but I did get a chance to send him a message telling him how eternally grateful I was that he saw something in me.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart my friend.
I had the great pleasure of working with David on many occasions over the years. He was a formidable talent, a wonderful entertainer, a personable guy and a really, really funny dude.
He also had his demons. As do we all..I wish I could have done more to help.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, to everyone – friends, family, fans and those missing compadres who were certainly there in spirit. Thank you to all who chose to hitch a ride on this magical train. (Pun intended)

Without a doubt ...a true original. And a huge influence on my singing style. When he was on the The Monkee's TV special, "33 1/3 Revolutions per Monkee",he,once again, blew me away. It was amazing to watch him work up close and personal. One of the last greats!

But I know that wherever he is, he is thrilled to see his work being acknowledged.
I look forward to continuing the legacy of my band mates the best way I know how, by keeping the music alive.
Happy Birthday to two of my Monkee brothers today!

Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Cynthia Weil….one half the song writing team of Mann-Weil. They wrote some of the most iconic songs in pop history, including Shades of Gray and

1)Mourning the passing of James Frawley.
Probably unbeknownst to many, Jim Frawley was profoundly instrumental in crafting what was to become the Emmy award winning show, The Monkees....
Tonight I saw Nez for the first time since the “Mike and Micky” tour abruptly ended in June.
