Friend of mine recently accepted a crazy good job offer.
Gave his 2 weeks notice.
1 week later the offer was rescinded.
My bro went from having 2 jobs to zero. 😭
Working hard in tech:
2021:
4-day workweek
36 lines of code in the morning
Pickleball tournament and pottery in the afternoon
2024:
117 job applications
8 interviews
0 callbacks
I think $150k - $225k has to be the worst salary range.
You make too much to say “F*ck this place, I quit.”
Yet not enough to be financially free without a job for any significant amount of time.
Someone should release an app that allows you to order home cooked meals.
Make it like UberEats.
But instead of ordering from a restaurant, it's someone's grandma.
My son told me he wants to become a programmer so he can change the world.
I don't have the heart to tell him that he'll be adding border-radius to buttons for the rest of his life.
Tech is wild.
Buying a course for $20 could potentially lead to a career that earns you $100k+ per year.
It still blows my mind how many people are sleeping on this. 😅
I see 24 year olds asking if they're too old to become a developer and I just shake my head.
Look at me. I'm 56, started learning JavaScript yesterday and have an interview with Google later today.
Ez-Pz lemonbreezy. 💯🔥
The best programmers don’t even have a GitHub.
They just show up at work, put their hair in a ponytail, and crush code in silence.
Then they go home, watch anime, and go to bed.
It's been a year since
@elonmusk
took over
@X
.
The app has never suffered a major outage.
New features are added faster than ever before.
The users who claim to hate the site, still use it every single day.
I'm excited to see what
@X
looks like in another year. 🤝
Peak Performance Programmer:
- Same tech stack for 15 years
- Zero green squares on GitHub
- Hasn’t used social media since 2012
Am I missing anything?
My new app will build websites through the use of AI.
You pay $3000, tell the app what you want the website to look like, and in 2-3 days I will send you a website.
If you write code for a living.
You will never regret becoming better at math.
This thread will explain how focusing on the basics can make you a better programmer:
I see 24 year olds asking if they're too old to become a developer and I just shake my head.

Not enough attention is given to how getting older in Tech, leads to increased anxiety and self esteem issues.
The time spent in your early 20s programming until 4 AM, is now replaced with responsibilities that sometimes make you feel like you’re falling behind.
