One thing to address today in response to some posts I’m seeing, CB is not a “new Evo.” It has never tried to be, nor will it start trying to be. Evo could become “new Evo” under new management though. Expectations wise, please let CB be CB. That is its only objective.

This new venue might let us do all the things we do. Tickets would have to go up $25, but hotel room rates drop $10-20 a night (For far nicer rooms). Closer to ORD so traveling in/out rides are cheaper. No long walk from arcade/retro to main stage. Better WiFi. Fingers crossed.

Quinn died yesterday. For 13+ years he helped make the houses Cat and I have lived in into homes. He bested cancer, traveled across the country twice, and never once lost his love for deflating dodgeballs. He often made dark days brighter. I miss him.

A reminder to take nothing for granted: Surgery back in February went awry and I've spent the months since unable to see correctly. It made work and life in general more difficult. After another surgery last week, I can finally see normally again today. Indescribable relief.
