We not buying no more phones until Congo Free! No more technology at all… We keeping the tech until it breaks down now and not just upgrading to contribute to a demand that kills Congolese people
@TheConsciousLee
me & my fam of 6 had the same phone on the wall for 30 years. i miss life before cell phones. and far more important, i'm sure the Congolese miss their lives before cell phones too. why is it so hard for people to make the smallest sacrifice for other people today?

@thotzekage
Is there any company that is NOT exploiting Congo? I'm googling around and I don't see much explicitly stating so. It's scary to think that the abuse is just that pervasive...
@TheConsciousLee
Plus pushing for right to repair laws can help us extend the lifespan too. Not just for the average person, but for small shops to be the primary source of tech repairs rather than OEMs.
Reduce, reuse (repair), recycle (reclaims minerals), in that order
@TheConsciousLee
Cause this glorified phone cover is bout the only real upgrade anyway. Been buying the same phone in different sizes/colors for years, we can sit this out & save sme lives!
@TheConsciousLee
genuinely at this point what do new phones even provide in terms of improvement over their predecessors? It has to be marginal for what they are used for.
