Don Mitchell is 1 of 3 brothers who were SOC legends. He coached me in summer track from ages 10- 17. When I came to CH, I coached his granddaughter in soccer. Her father Stacy and I broke a few 4× 100 records in summer track! Why did I come back...this is my village!!

Our CH girls soccer team are an awesome group! Jodie Calloway is an awesome coach! We didn't make the playoffs this year, but 4 out of 6 seniors are going to college on athletic scholarships. 6 out of 6 are going to college on academic scholarship...that is one hellava coach!!

@jsandersleads Nah Mr Sanders. Don't tell them that coaches on our staff played college ball, some even coached in college and the NFL, and we are STILL students of the game. If they don't know what that means..we will take your play, drill, or defense, and change it to fit our kids! Genius!!

My old man played baseball at Grambling in the 70's. He never talks about it outside of family. He is a country boy from Ringgold Louisiana that grew up on a real farm with an out house (with the half moon and all). He was everyone's dad in my community.

Today PJ Campbell, 1 of my backup Corners took off after a sped student who slipped out of the gym. He is on the student council and will graduate hs with an associates degree. I am blessed to coach a player like him. The student wasn't very fast, but he had a mean stiff arm!!

I was also told about this as a kid from grandparents who were born and died in Louisiana. I thought my granny was joking until 2012 when she had me drive to a canal in Ringgold, LA where she knew it happened. I was visibly shaken, but she had no emotion.
