I get so tired of people moving to Tennessee from other places and instructing everyone here on how we are idiots. I would move north to do the same but no one leaves Tennessee for the places these complainers abandoned.
@TheChadWithrow
Chad, have you seen the people in our neighborhood, and their driving skills? They suck. Hell, I had my vehicle parked on the street over night, one of our neighbors was showing off her backup camera while coming down the Main Street off the roundabout and nailed my vehicle.
@KCCOgator
There are bad drivers everywhere. Including the places all of these transplants came here from. I’m against anyone moving to a place and criticizing their citizens regardless of where it happens. If I move to Delaware and criticize their drivers, I expect to get destroyed.
@TheChadWithrow
That and bitching about how no one has real pizza down here. Why...because our state doesn't smell like hot dog water & stale urine? FOH with that crap!

Actually, I moved here from California in 2004 and found Tennesseans to be the most courteous drivers I've ever come across. For some reason I recently noticed more people speeding, driving reckless. I'm older now but I'm driving at 74 mph and people flying by me on both sides.
@TheChadWithrow
My wife is born and raised old Hickory and informed me of the drivers ed around here. The fact that it’s not (or wasn’t anyways) required to get a permit is absolutely ridiculous. And yes I’m only from Kentucky, but Nashville area has the shittiest drivers I’ve ever encountered
@TheChadWithrow
I’ve lived in 5 states and the statement “people from this state can’t drive” is applicable to every person in the country. Has 0 to do with a specific state and more with just people in general. Have you ever heard someone say “these people are great drivers?”
@TheChadWithrow
Add this take to most everything about out of stater transplants to TN. “Not the way we do it.” And “these people are so backwards, due to x,y,z reason”
@TheChadWithrow
Also, in 2021 when you claim Tennessee has the worst drivers, what you really are saying is that bad drivers from literally every state in the nation have moved to Tennessee. There aren’t many true locals here anymore and those of us that remain are fantastic drivers! 😆
@TheChadWithrow
Winter driving proficiency is a function of experience. Not just how but equally important when & where. Unreasonable to expect drivers without the opportunity to gain experience to demonstrate proficiency. No reason to be a dick about it.
@TheChadWithrow
Wait...I've always considered all other drivers, local or immigrated to be "idiots"...never once have I marveled at someone's driving and said something like "Damn dude, nice lane change" or "Nice f#*king yield, good job man!" (I may have said the latter w/ a big dose of sarcasm
