Actual true fact:
My mum sent me to school with a note giving permission for my headmaster to smack me. I had to hand it in & he then phoned my mum to confirm delivery. Years after, mum said he'd said to her "you know I can't hit her, don't you?"
She said "SHE doesn't know that"

It’s the second paragraph that gets me: the teacher “also shot at pupils with a staple gun, placed one or more in a headlock”.
This is *exactly* the sort of thing I’d do to pupils if I were a teacher.

My mum, an infants teacher, had parents bring belts in and say if he plays up, use it.
