Most people who come from nothing lack 2 things that Mike does not lack..
1. The previously acquired skills & experiences to pull this off.
2. The belief and confidence that you can pull this off.
“Anyone” can’t accomplish this without acquiring the skills & belief.
Look at this guy.
He’s a millionaire who went homeless as a social experiment.
His goal? Prove that anyone can make $1M in 12 months with just a phone.
The story of Mike Black and what happened next:

Skills come from taking action. Most people are too comfortable for their own good.
If schools taught people how to build desire and the belief that the desire can be achieved, humanity could achieve so much more.
Unfortunately your right though. People aern't given the tools

This is exactly y thought. He already has a leg up because of his knowledge of the business world. Most don’t have a clue how to negotiate or invest.

This! And a good portion of the belief and motivation to achieve comes from previous success. He’s already experienced the success of being a millionaire. In his mind, combined with his previous skills, education, and experience, being a millionaire is a very real possibility.

Completely agree! This ‘experiment’ overlooks so many social factors that breed success! Including that he is a man.. No chick would of been staying in a nice Craigslist’s persons RV. Ha!

@ecomEddie
Exactly. Even the verbiage that you would need to interview for a marketing gig or anything else can be beyond a normal person’s range. You have to look at the precise skills that he is using, the already acquired knowledge that he has when taking on a project like this.

Or the favours people gave him during the process, and the smart phone he kept - without that it would have been a very different story

@ecomEddie
Totally agree!
People don't think that everyone's life goes differently.
It's easier if you have a stable childhood, a good education, go to university, and good job opportunities, among other things!
The starting line is sometimes so far away for some people.

Not to mention that a lot of folks who end up homeless ALSO struggle with sever mental health disorders. Nobody is going to want you to be the middle man of a craigslist flip if you’re ticcing or otherwise “acting crazy”. And thats a major setback.
@T_Cortazzo
@ecomEddie
This was my thought. So someone who's already achieved making a million dollars and knows the pathway to do it, is going to prove that "anyone" can do it from nothing. 🤔

And connections. That is a key tool many do not have. And choosing to be homeless as to actually being forced into survival changes the neuropath in the brain so it's much more difficult. Reality is important in an unbiased study.
