Story I just learned about when Stacy went to the DC Women’s March: No doubt giggling, she somehow snuck her group into the ‘Special Person’s Suite’ where they all grabbed gift bags. Stacy then handed them all to homeless people outside. That was Stacy every single day.

It’s not insensitive. But I no longer think about it. In September 2018, I was told she would be dead ‘in 3 months, 6 at most’ & she has beaten that by sheer will & love. How long? We have today. For her it may be a lifetime. & so we live it up! LIVE folks.Tomorrow doesn’t exist.

You ask how Stacy is doing? Skye, Cooper’s partner who also lives with us, saw that Stacy wanted to communicate. ‘You are a great artist,’ Stacy spelled with her eyes. It took 30 minutes. That’s how Stacy’s doing. Trapped in her own body. Still always thinking of others.

My worry? What do folks in abusive relationships do now, stuck at home w those who already terrified &tormented them? Kids, spouces, the disabled, elders, etc. Are there resources, guidelines, hotlines? Any ideas? We fortunately are safe here, but others are very vulnerable.

Another good question. Stacy’s mind is unaffected (though her gene mutation can cause dementia. Her mother is suffering from that.) she feels everything, pain and pleasure, but cannot move anything but her eyes. She is kind, funny, & has a genius level IQ. & the heart of a lion.
