** ROAD CLOSURES IN PLACE **
Due to a serious collision there are currently road closures in place on:
The A3 slip road northbound at Burnt Common
B2215 London Road/Portsmouth Road
Vicarage Lane/Woodhill
Please avoid the area and make alternative journey plans if possible.
Police have now left the scene and handed management of the road over to Highways England. The roads will reopen once they have carried out some temporary repairs, but we anticipate heavy traffic for some time, so please use alternative routes if possible for the next few hours.
Officers were called to a single vehicle collision at around 6am after a Vauxhall Astra left the carriageway between J6 & J5 of the M25 and travelled down the embankment before coming to a stop on Water Lane. The driver is receiving medical treatment in hospital (1/3)
