Trader trading the trend. Trade in a state of grace. Family friends laughter health & time to play important to me. Living life in alignment with 'what is'.
I am a simple trader. I don't use anything that is complex. I keep my charts, rules and ways simple. I wash, rinse and repeat over and over again. I do my best to stay one step ahead of the masses and read the market while staying open minded. I prefer longs over shorts
The best traders are not geniuses they are survivors. They last because they keep the ego in its place. They know when to push on the gas and when to ease off and have patience.
Be a great trader not a perfect trader. Keep losses small. Take partial amounts off the table as you let your winners run. Trade, trim and trail. Wash, rinse and repeat
Silence is the best reply to a fool. No need to participate in someones negative behavior. Surround yourself with people who lift you up and bring out the best in you.
I don't run a service, I don't want a service. I post charts that most times are actionable now or soon to be actionable. I am here to help others and have a little fun. Trading can be a lonely business. I believe in and like teamwork.
Folks I don't run a service, I don't want a service. I share so you can see how one long time trader, trades. My way does not have to work for you nor should it be your way. I show you what I do and what I see.
$SPY daily with price candles removed so only moving averages are visible. Notice all still pointing down. Tells us if trading long stay nimble and that the big picture trend is still down for now
If you are struggling with trading. SLOW DOWN. Trading is a marathon not a sprint. Stop moving from one system to the next. Define the time frame you want to trade and start there. Focus on price and price movement.
The best traders are not geniuses, they are survivors. They last because they keep the ego in its place. They stay in their lane and wash, rinse, repeat the same system over and over.
The best traders are not geniuses they are survivors. They last because they keep the ego & emotions in check. Trading is a business it is not a reflection on you personally. Keep losses small. Let your winners run.
The minute a trader gets cocky, puts on a super hero cape and starts flying around and bragging is the time the market will teach them a lesson. Stay humble, be grateful, take your piece of the pie and move along.
Leave with this --> No need to be negative or send out negative thoughts to others. We rise by lifting others. Be kind and good to people for no reason. Good manners and kindness don't cost much yet they accomplish a lot. Cheers
Just when I have some trolls push me to the limit and I think about laying low and not posting as much, I get good questions and heart warming comments that make me stick around. Thank you to those who follow. I am grateful.
I am helping new and young traders to learn it is OK to take a small win and keep stops where one makes coin. They all add up. I have no ego and I don't care what anyone else thinks about my trading. No need to make fun of anyone on this platform.
Over trading is a great early retirement plan for your broker, not you. Don't over trade out of boredom or because you think you are not working if not trading. Risk management is key.
@traderstewie
a must always
#follow
for me. You deserve all the good that comes your way, Stewie. You are the real deal as a trader, kind and good person. Cheers
Trading is a game of numbers based on perception and emotion. It requires patience and discipline. It requires one to be a leader and not a follower. Trading needs to be simple and repetitive. Your eyes are your gift, trust & confidence in your rules and system are required
Leave with this --> Negative people need drama as if it was oxygen. Stay positive and take their breath away. Stand close to the people who feel like fresh air and sunshine. Be safe, be well.
Don't trade just to trade. Don't trade out of boredom. Trust me, I have done it and still sometimes have the thoughts. I scroll charts, grab a book to read or get up and go play/do something else. Discipline is key.
Sunrise is officially in the penalty box. It has been a very-very long time since I had a few losses in a row. I will not be trading any new tomorrow. I will take a day of study and monitor only my current holdings.
Folks I really don't mind when I take a loss. I am at peace with the outcome prior to taking any trade. Red or green result I know the risk. I also know with my style of trading and risk management I will have a green year and many more green trades.
Lets not forget I don't run a service. I share to help shorten the learning curve of new traders. I am only showing you what I do. You don't have to agree with it. I encourage all to use what works for you. My trading comes first. I answer most questions.
Trading is a marathon and not a sprint. New traders need to slow down and temper their expectations. They need to learn money and risk management skills, focus on not losing money over making money
The stock market will be closed Thursday November 26 for Thanksgiving holiday. Friday is a half day and the USA stock market will close at 1pm eastern. Shorten weeks often favor the bulls we will see what 2020 decides to do. Stay open minded
Welcome new follows. Have no agenda on twitter joined for camaraderie, stock ideas, education & laughs. I don’t have a service & don’t blog. I use my own money to trade. Posts are for educational purposes, maybe shorten the learning curve for new traders. Teamwork is how I roll
Folks don't be afraid to invest in your trading business. Take a seminar, buy a book, join a service, pay for a charting platform/screener. Whatever makes you grow and improve your business.
When we start our trading journey we absorb all kinds of information like a sponge. As your progress, your data will show you what you need to be focusing on. 📊
It’s better to me a master of one skill, then be average at a bunch!
@SunriseTrader
I don't run a service and I don't want one. Those who do work very hard and I have much respect for the many good services I know. I trade my own money and share to pass the knowledge on and teamwork. Education only.
I share because trading can be a lonely sport. My way is only one of thousands of ways to trade. It does not make it right for you. It does show you how one trader (me) trades. Glean all you can from X and always make a trade your own.
I don't post so you will agree with me or that you will take a trade. I post to show you what I see and what I am doing. Education. If you have a different view of a name I am open to seeing your chart and reading your thoughts. We all can help each other grow.
Leave with this --> Successful people are givers and not takers of positive energy. Send some energy to those you love and those who need a lift in this world.
I wrote this to myself a bizzilion trading years ago, I see it each day. As a trader my job is to manage risk and consistently take profits out of the of the market while preserving emotional and financial capital.
Folks tonight I leave you with this --> The trading community lost a kind and good person
@JBoorman
I ask you to take a moment to send energy to his family and to take a moment to hug or call your loved ones, let them know you are thinking of them.
Traders know they have finally made it when they get to a point of 'don't do more, do less and do it better.' It is not what they add, it is what they take away to simplify that allows a trader to get to bigger size and have confidence in their system/style. This turns a good
If you are new to trading, no matter the time frame you trade, learn to love basing. Basing is what gives price energy to continue in the direction of the trend.
If you are lucky enough to read/listen to an experienced trader who has already done all the bone head things a trader can do and has come out on the winning side and still trading, pay attention. Be grateful and apply their knowledge without having to pay the price they paid.
One thing no mentor or trader can teach you is Seat Time. All traders have to achieve on their own. Trust me Seat Time is what makes you better and finally settle into your style, rhythm. Gain the confidence.
Going to give this a go... I am a swing/position trader mostly. I will day trade when the market dictates. I prefer pullbacks to support and trades I call dumpster dive. I will trade other setups. I use the daily chart as my go to chart when looking for new trades. I use the
I track all my trades on a spread sheet and in my journal. Sometimes I admit it can be a pain, but it forces me to take a very close look at what I am doing. This is a business folks, not a slot machine.
Don't get cocky. You are not as good as you think you are when most stocks have been following the market direction for a few weeks now. The market has a way of giving you what you deserve & sometimes that is some humble pie. Stay at peace, stay disciplined & keep inching stops
Some of trading is just old fashion gut. After years of 'seat time' the eyes see it, brain knows it and the hands do the work. No fear, no greed, at peace with the outcome, calmness remains. it just is and you know it. No one can teach 'seat time', all must earn on their own.
Is it me or are there more snarky shots being taken lately? I am here to help and if I my posts dont' meet your needs why follow? I like discussion and people to teach me what they see and me show you what I see. Healthy discussions always welcome.
Focus and ignore the noise. Trade your plan. The plan you wrote away from the noise when head was calm. No one knows what is next for the market. Never forget it is your money.
Leave with this --> It only takes one act of kindness, one question answered to inspire others to change for the better. Be the one to be kind and help others.
Folks slow down. You don't have to have a bunch of trades. Work hard at having one or two good trades. Get them under control, with cushion and you can then let the machine work for you as you search for another trade. Trading is a marathon not a sprint.
