When you throw around the term “sports specific” 👉🏻 trainers begin to cringe. That’s simply because guys take it way to far. However, baseball and softball are so skill dominant. I think 👉🏻 in order to see real transfer from weight room to field, you need to train sports specific

The Belt squat is essential for Baseball and Softball players in my opinion. One of the most prominent injury locations for rotational athletes is the lower back. With a belt squat👉🏻 we can give the legs a heavy stimulus without putting the lower back at risk.

Having a goal in mind while training power helps you produce more power. . . If I told an athlete👉🏻 throw this medball as hard as you can VS Try to hit 40mph on the radar gun. . . Odds are 👉🏻he is going to throw it harder with the radar gun behind him. Same applies to the vert.

Last block of training we are dialed in on some Velocity Based Training. So rather than dictating intensity and volume based off load/ sets/reps. I dictate it on bar velocity. This is a huge tool for building power athletes.
