If you're a US resident, call/email your reps and, at a minimum, bring to their attention to the health crisis unfolding in India. The US is currently doing next to nothing to provide aid, and, quite frankly, it's a complete embarrassment and travesty.

Are there any specific policy measures under consideration in the US Congress that would enhance non-US countries' (e.g. India) access to resources that would help mitigate the spread of COVID? I'm hoping to write my reps about such policies and encourage others to do likewise.

We show that the literature demonstrates some pathological behavior consistent with selective reporting of findings. The figure below demonstrates that findings cluster just at or just above the t-statistic threshold of 1.96 (i.e. a p-value of less than or equal to 0.05). [2/4]

That semester sparked a fascination with India (and South Asia) that continues to this day. I remain a staunch advocate for study abroad programs, especially for those with limited opportunities to spend time outside their home countries; these can be transformative experiences.

Elections often occur during civil wars. In this working paper, I develop a typology of "civil wartime political parties" demonstrating how some parties (e.g. leftist) express ideological alignment with rebels, yet oppose overthrowing the state.

Jorasanko Thakur Bari is among my favorite places in Kolkata. It’s a wonderful historical artifact illuminating the Tagore family’s contributions to the Bengal Renaissance and the Brahmo Samaj, as well as Rabindranath’s individual works of art, literature, and philosophy.
