#OnThisDay in College Baseball: 1994 Bobo Brayton of WSU @CougBaseball coaches his final game, an 11-9 win vs Portland. From 1962 to 1994 Bobo won 1,162 games, 21 conf titles & two CWS appearances. He was also Wazzu's first All American in 1947 as a shortstop.

50 Fave Stadiums: Missouri Hammons Field, home of @MSUBearBaseball , is impressive joint. Big league feel. Best in ShowMe State, best in MoValley. Loved covering games there. Lots of shade & brew too.

For the record, @IlliniBaseball did NOT dogpile, dump Gatorade over coach Hartleb's head or shoot off any confetti cannons. But they did beat Washington 7-1 to win the #DQClassic title with a 3-0 record. Well done Orange Crush.

#OnThisDay in College Baseball: 1989 @WSUCougarBSB ’s John Olerud has surgery for a brain aneurysm before his junior season. He returns in April, hitting .359 & going 3-2 on the mound as Cougs win Pac 10 North. He would wear a helmet in the field for the rest of his career

Yep, Langeliers is the new King @BaylorBaseball 's Shea Langeliers, and his hair like The Boz, has set the NCAA Tournament all-time record with 11 RBI in the rout of Omaha. 3 HRs, a single & a double. Doesn't it look like he's having fun?

Beach coach Eric Valenzuela says that @LBDirtbags catcher Connor Burns "ight be the best defensive catcher in the country." He got mobbed after throwing out a would-be base-stealer to end the 3rd inning. Burns also had 3 RBI & a double vs. SDSU.
