Well not good news. The biopsy came back. I have prostate cancer and of course it’s begun to spread to the bones in my back. Thus the pain I’ve been in leg and back. Urology consult Monday, prostate and spine MRI next week and hope they offer me some options for oncology or

Labs are okay. Troponin fine. I was low on a few things. EKG was good. Signs of dehydration they said. Phosphates and potassium. Sucked up two bags of fluids. No blood clot either that test came back within range. Waiting on chest x ray results and urinalysis and hope they cut me

I have a doctors appointment for a test at 12p and 3pm (two part). I actually drove myself today and stopped to eat. This is the first time in about a month I have been alone for the day and have been out of the house and not laying in bed or on my couch all day. I said today was

My son's a great kid, he'll be 29 this year. Couldn't fight this cancer battle without him. He's also half the reason I'm fighting it. He takes me to all my appointments, comes in, takes notes or records meetings with the doctors. He drives me to lunch, always buying me breakfast

UPDATE: I got my PSA test back from the blood draw today. The hormone medication is really working well. It’s gone down to 0.94, almost zero. I have happy tears right now, super emotional about this. I’ve only been on the meds for 30 days. PSA started out in December ‘23 over

Day 10 | 2024 Got a decent nights sleep and worked from home mostly my desk today until it was time to leave for the PET | CT scan. I was so anxious I ended up taking a .5mg Xanex at 1:30pm and another at 2:00pm. Got my radiation injection at 2:00pm and the test at 3:00pm. Lasted

Good news is meant to be shared! By the grace of God my PSA continues to drop. Literally almost zero. This is great considering for 7 days I was on antibiotics and not taking the cancer meds. Had to share! This is good stuff. In December 2023 when I was diagnosed my PSA was 41.

Pretty quiet un-eventful day which is fine by me. The Mrs. isn't feeling too hot and we have no call yet from the doctors office so we're just in a holding pattern until they call with the last test result. My next appointment is still Friday to discuss Chemo. Scared about this!

Day 5 | 2024 It's been a pretty quiet day. I took this new medication last night to sleep (also for anxiety) and was able to fall asleep quickly. The day was decent enough I made it through it without any Xanax, that's a good thing. I have no other tests until that PET scan on

Day 130 | 2024 I don't feel much like posting today. My PSA increased, "again". It was a significant increase. Chemo tomorrow, scans next week. Meet with the Oncologist on 5/17 to discuss plan B. Hope there is one. Thank you for the prayers.
