Just watch Courtland Sutton plant and break to the inside off his left leg, the one in which he tore his ACL. That is what confidence in your reconstructed knee looks like, placing dynamic stress on the graft, relying on neuromuscular coordination. 👏

I spoke w/Dr. Thomas Byrd, hip specialist in Nashville; he was independent evaluator for Tua’s medical recheck. 3 things struck me: 1) his x-rays looked “pristine” 2) CT scan of right hip joint space mirrors the left 3) “looks as good as (he’s) ever seen 5 mos out” post-injury

Definitely not ideal. But you can see the medical staff “re-locate” the patella (kneecap) here. As with anything dislocated, restoring normal position immediately decreases pain. Further Imaging to determine full extent of injury (associated soft tissue, etc). More to come.

Per source: Dak Prescott’s lat strain was completely unrelated to his ankle. He has had zero setbacks and remains on track with a progressive throwing program designed to increase volume of work. Will be full go for Week 1 contest, Sept 9th.

Chubb went to the hospital after his injury indicating there were initial concerns about the structural integrity of his knee. If he could sustain such a violent injury yet have so many structures remain intact, that’s also a testament to his prior surgical repair…and, him.

Look, we’re all going to have to learn to live, function and adapt in the presence of this virus. Given that we don’t know everything about how it behaves, there will be a perpetual learning curve with constantly updated information. Sports is no different. But at least TRY.

Recent news on positive COVID-19 tests in NHL, MLB, NWSL, MLS serves as a reminder that this virus is still very much present. The conversation for sports leagues centers on mitigating (not eliminating) risk and managing situations as they arise. League protocols remain fluid.

Confirmed, per source, Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill had a posterior SC (sternoclavicular) dislocation which was successfully reduced in the hospital. No surgery required. He will stay overnight.
