What makes me laugh about this, is that rap wasn’t the dominate genre. Pop was. Hip-hop was on life support. And within rap, female rap was nonexistent for YEARS. THE GENRE WAS DEAD. Nicki single-handedly REVIVED IT. So, she couldn’t have competition. She WAS THE COMPETITION.
